Psalms 65:1Unto the end, a canticle of a psalm of the resurrection. Shout with joy to God, all the earth,{To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David: a Song.} Praise waiteth for thee in silence, O God, in Zion; and unto thee shall the vow be performed.<To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David. A Song.> It is right for you, O God, to have praise in Zion: to you let the offering be made.To the chief Musician, A Psalm and Song of David. Psalms 65:2sing ye a psalm to his name; give glory to his praise.O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.To you, O hearer of prayer, let the words of all flesh come.O thou that hearest prayer, to thee shall all flesh come.
Psalms 65:3Say unto God, How terrible are thy works, O Lord! in the multitude of thy strength thy enemies shall lie to thee.Iniquities have prevailed against me: our transgressions, thou wilt forgive them.Evils have overcome us: but as for our sins, you will take them away.Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.
Psalms 65:4Let all the earth adore thee, and sing to thee: let it sing a psalm to thy name.Blessed is he whom thou choosest and causest to approach: he shall dwell in thy courts. Psalms 65:5Come and see the works of God; who is terrible in his counsels over the sons of men.By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation, thou confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of the distant regions of the sea. ...You will give us an answer in righteousness by great acts of power, O God of our salvation; you who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of the far-off lands of the sea;By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:
Psalms 65:6Who turneth the sea into dry land, in the river they shall pass on foot: there shall we rejoice in him.Who by his strength established the mountains, being girded with power;The God by whose strength the mountains are fixed; who is robed with power:Who by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:
Psalms 65:7Who by his power ruleth for ever: his eyes behold the nations; let not them that provoke him he exalted in themselves.Who stilleth the raging of the seas, the raging of their waves, and the tumult of the peoples.Who makes the loud voice of the sea quiet, and puts an end to the sound of its waves.Who stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.
Psalms 65:8O bless our God, ye Gentiles: and make the voice of his praise to be heard.And they that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens; thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.Those in the farthest parts of the earth have fear when they see your signs: the outgoings of the morning and evening are glad because of you.They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.
Psalms 65:9Who hath set my soul to live: and hath not suffered my feet to be moved:Thou hast visited the earth, thou hast watered it; thou greatly enrichest it: the river of God is full of water; thou providest their corn, when thou hast so prepared it:You have given your blessing to the earth, watering it and making it fertile; the river of God is full of water: and having made it ready, you give men grain.Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.
Psalms 65:10For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us by fire, as silver is tried.Thou dost satiate its furrows, thou smoothest its clods, thou makest it soft with showers; thou blessest the springing thereof.You make the ploughed lands full of water; you make smooth the slopes: you make the earth soft with showers, sending your blessing on its growth.Thou waterest the ridges of it abundantly: thou settlest the furrows of it: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing of it.
Psalms 65:11Thou hast brought us into a net, thou hast laid afflictions on our back:Thou crownest the year with thy goodness, and thy paths drop fatness:The year is crowned with the good you give; life-giving rain is dropping from your footsteps,Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.
Psalms 65:12thou hast set men over our heads. We have passed through tire and water, and thou hast brought us out into a refreshment.They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness, and the hills are girded with gladness.Falling on the grass of the waste land: and the little hills are glad on every side.They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.
Psalms 65:13I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,The meadows are clothed with flocks, and the valleys are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, yea, they sing.The grass-land is thick with flocks; the valleys are full of grain; they give glad cries and songs of joy.The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.
Psalms 65:14which my lips have uttered, And my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
Psalms 65:15I will offer up to thee holocausts full of marrow, with burnt offerings of rams: I will offer to thee bullocks with goats.
Psalms 65:16Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will tell you what great things he hath done for my soul.
Psalms 65:17I cried to him with my mouth: and I extolled him with my tongue.
Psalms 65:18If I have looked at iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.
Psalms 65:19Therefore hath God heard me, and hath attended to the voice of my supplication.
Psalms 65:20Blessed be God, who hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
