| Psalms 12:1 | Unto the end, a psalm for David. How long, O Lord, wilt thou forget me unto the end? how long dost thou turn away thy face from me? | {To the chief Musician. Upon Sheminith. A Psalm of David.} Save, Jehovah, for the godly man is gone; for the faithful have failed from among the children of men. | | To the chief Musician upon Sheminith. A Psalm of David. Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. |
| Psalms 12:2 | How long shall I take counsels in my soul, sorrow in my heart all the day? | They speak falsehood every one with his neighbour: [with] flattering lip, with a double heart, do they speak. | | They speak vanity every one with his neighbor: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. |
| Psalms 12:3 | How long shall my enemy be exalted over me? | Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaketh proud things, | | The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: |
| Psalms 12:4 | Consider, and hear me, O Lord my God. Enlighten my eyes that I never sleep in death: | Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail, our lips are our own: who [is] lord over us? | | Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us? |
| Psalms 12:5 | lest at any time my enemy say: I have prevailed against him. They that trouble me will rejoice when I am moved: | Because of the oppression of the afflicted, because of the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith Jehovah, I will set [him] in safety, at whom they puff. | | For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. |
| Psalms 12:6 | but I have trusted in thy mercy. My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation: I will sing to the Lord, who giveth me good things: yea I will sing to the name of the Lord the most high. | The words of Jehovah are pure words, silver tried in the furnace of earth, purified seven times. | | The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. |
