Psalms 26:1The psalm of David before he was anointed. The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?{[A Psalm] of David.} Judge me, O Jehovah, for I have walked in mine integrity, and I have confided in Jehovah: I shall not slip.Judge me, Yahweh, for I have walked in my integrity. I have trusted also in Yahweh without wavering.A Psalm of David. Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in my integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.
Psalms 26:2Whilst the wicked draw near against me, to eat my flesh. My enemies that trouble me, have themselves been weakened, and have fallen.Prove me, Jehovah, and test me; try my reins and my heart:Examine me, Yahweh, and prove me. Try my heart and my mind.Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
Psalms 26:3If armies in camp should stand together against me, my heart shall not fear. If a battle should rise up against me, in this will I be confident. For thy loving-kindness is before mine eyes, and I have walked in thy truth. For your lovingkindness is before my eyes. I have walked in your truth. For thy loving-kindness is before my eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.
Psalms 26:4One thing I have asked of the Lord, this will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. That I may see the delight of the Lord, and may visit his temple.I have not sat with vain persons, neither have I gone in with dissemblers;I have not sat with deceitful men, Neither will I go in with hypocrites.I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.
Psalms 26:5For he hath hidden me in his tabernacle; in the day of evils, he hath protected me in the secret place of his tabernacle.I have hated the congregation of evil-doers, and I have not sat with the wicked.I hate the assembly of evil-doers, And will not sit with the wicked.I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.
Psalms 26:6He hath exalted me upon a rock: and now he hath lifted up my head above my enemies. I have gone round, and have offered up in his tabernacle a sacrifice of jubilation: I will sing, and recite a psalm to the Lord.I will wash my hands in innocency, and will encompass thine altar, O Jehovah,I will wash my hands in innocence, So I will go about your altar, Yahweh;I will wash my hands in innocence: so will I compass thy altar, O LORD:
Psalms 26:7Hear, O Lord, my voice, with which I have cried to thee: have mercy on me and hear me.That I may cause the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, and declare all thy marvellous works. That I may make the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, And tell of all your wondrous works. That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.
Psalms 26:8My heart hath said to thee: My face hath sought thee: thy face, O Lord, will I still seek.Jehovah, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thy glory dwelleth.Yahweh, I love the habitation of your house, The place where your glory dwells.LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thy honor dwelleth.
Psalms 26:9Turn not away thy face from me; decline not in thy wrath from thy servant. Be thou my helper, forsake me not; do not thou despise me, O God my Saviour.Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with men of blood;Don't gather my soul with sinners, Nor my life with bloodthirsty men;Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:
Psalms 26:10For my father and my mother have left me: but the Lord hath taken me up.In whose hands are evil devices, and their right hand is full of bribes. In whose hands is wickedness, Their right hand is full of bribes. In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.
Psalms 26:11Set me, O Lord, a law in thy way, and guide me in the right path, because of my enemies. But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity. Redeem me, and be gracious unto me.But as for me, I will walk in my integrity. Redeem me, and be merciful to me.But as for me, I will walk in my integrity: redeem me, and be merciful to me.
Psalms 26:12Deliver me not over to the will of them that trouble me; for unjust witnesses have risen up against me; and iniquity hath lied to itself. My foot standeth in an even place; in the congregations will I bless Jehovah. My foot stands in an even place. In the congregations will I bless Yahweh. Psalm 27 By David. My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.
Psalms 26:13I believe to see the good things of the Lord in the land of the living.
Psalms 26:14Expect the Lord, do manfully, and let thy heart take courage, and wait thou for the Lord.
