Psalms 63:1Unto the end, a psalm for David.{A Psalm of David; when he was in the wilderness of Judah.} O God, thou art my ùGod; early will I seek thee. My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh languisheth for thee, in a dry and weary land without water:God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you, My flesh longs for you, In a dry and weary land, where there is no water.A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
Psalms 63:2Hear, O God, my prayer, when I make supplication to thee : deliver my soul from the fear of the enemy.To see thy power and thy glory, as I have beheld thee in the sanctuary;So I have seen you in the sanctuary, Watching your power and your glory.To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
Psalms 63:3Thou hast protected me from the assembly of the malignant; from the multitude of the workers of iniquity.For thy loving-kindness is better than life: my lips shall praise thee.Because your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise you.Because thy loving-kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
Psalms 63:4For they have whetted their tongues like a sword; they have bent their bow a bitter thing,So will I bless thee while I live; I will lift up my hands in thy name.So I will bless you while I live. I will lift up my hands in your name.Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
Psalms 63:5to shoot in secret the undefiled.My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise [thee] with joyful lips.My soul shall be satisfied as with the richest food. My mouth shall praise you with joyful lips,My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
Psalms 63:6They will shoot at him on a sudden, and will not fear: they are resolute in wickedness. They have talked of hiding snares; they have said: Who shall see them?When I remember thee upon my bed, I meditate on thee in the night-watches:When I remember you on my bed, And think about you in the night watches.When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
Psalms 63:7They have searched after iniquities: they have failed in their search. Man shall come to a deep heart:For thou hast been my help, and in the shadow of thy wings will I sing for joy.For you have been my help. I will rejoice in the shadow of your wings.Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
Psalms 63:8and God shall be exalted. The arrows of children are their wounds:My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.My soul stays close to you. Your right hand holds me up.My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
Psalms 63:9and their tongues against them are made weak. All that saw them were troubled;But those that seek my soul, to destroy [it], shall go into the lower parts of the earth;But those who seek my soul, to destroy it, Shall go into the lower parts of the earth.But those that seek my soul to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
Psalms 63:10and every man was afraid. And they declared the works of God: and understood his doings.They shall be given over to the power of the sword; they shall be the portion of foxes.They shall be given over to the power of the sword. They shall be jackal food.They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.
Psalms 63:11The just shall rejoice in the Lord, and shall hope in him: and all the upright in heart shall be praised.But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: for the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.But the king shall rejoice in God. Everyone who swears by him will praise him, For the mouth of those who speak lies shall be silenced. Psalm 64 For the Chief Musician.
