Psalms 29:1A psalm of a canticle, at the dedication of David's house.Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength.<A Psalm. Of David.> Give to the Lord, you sons of the gods, give to the Lord glory and strength.A Psalm of David. Ascribe to Jehovah, ye sons of the mighty, Ascribe to Jehovah honour and strength.
Psalms 29:2I will extol thee, O Lord, for thou hast upheld me: and hast not made my enemies to rejoice over me.Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.Give to the Lord the full glory of his name; give him worship in holy robes.Ascribe to Jehovah the honour of His name, Bow yourselves to Jehovah, In the beauty of holiness.
Psalms 29:3O Lord my God, I have cried to thee, and then hast healed me.The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters.The voice of the Lord is on the waters: the God of glory is thundering, the Lord is on the great waters.The voice of Jehovah [is] on the waters, The God of glory hath thundered, Jehovah [is] on many waters.
Psalms 29:4Thou hast brought forth, O Lord, my soul from hell: thou hast saved me from them that go down into the pit.The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.The voice of the Lord is full of power; the voice of the Lord has a noble sound.The voice of Jehovah [is] with power, The voice of Jehovah [is] with majesty,
Psalms 29:5Sing to the Lord, O ye his saints: and give praise to the memory of his holiness.The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon. By the voice of the Lord are the cedar-trees broken, even the cedars of Lebanon are broken by the Lord.The voice of Jehovah [is] shivering cedars, Yea, Jehovah shivers the cedars of Lebanon.
Psalms 29:6For wrath is in his indignation; and life in his good will. In the evening weeping shall have place, and in the morning gladness.He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.He makes them go jumping about like a young ox; Lebanon and Sirion like a young mountain ox.And He causeth them to skip as a calf, Lebanon and Sirion as a son of Reems,
Psalms 29:7And in my abundance I said: I shall never be moved.The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire. At the voice of the Lord flames of fire are seen.The voice of Jehovah is hewing fiery flames,
Psalms 29:8O Lord, in thy favour, thou gavest strength to my beauty. Thou turnedst away thy face from me, and I became troubled.The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. At the voice of the Lord there is a shaking in the waste land, even a shaking in the waste land of Kadesh.The voice of Jehovah paineth a wilderness, Jehovah paineth the wilderness of Kadesh.
Psalms 29:9To thee, O Lord, will I cry: and I will make supplication to my God.The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.At the voice of the Lord the roes give birth, the leaves are taken from the trees: in his Temple everything says, Glory.The voice of Jehovah paineth the oaks, And maketh bare the forests, And in His temple every one saith, `Glory.`
Psalms 29:10What profit is there in my blood, whilst I go down to corruption? Shall dust confess to thee, or declare thy truth?The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever.The Lord had his seat as king when the waters came on the earth; the Lord is seated as king for ever.Jehovah on the deluge hath sat, And Jehovah sitteth king to the age,
Psalms 29:11The Lord hath heard, and hath had mercy on me: the Lord became my helper.The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.The Lord will give strength to his people; the Lord will give his people the blessing of peace.Jehovah strength to his people giveth, Jehovah blesseth His people with peace!
Psalms 29:12Thou hast turned for me my mourning into joy: thou hast cut my sackcloth, and hast compassed me with gladness:
Psalms 29:13To the end that my glory may sing to thee, and I may not regret: O Lord my God, I will give praise to thee for ever.
