| Psalms 82:1 | A canticle of a psalm for Asaph. | God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods. | <A Psalm. Of Asaph.> God is in the meeting-place of God; he is judging among the gods. | A Psalm of Asaph. God hath stood in the company of God, In the midst God doth judge. |
| Psalms 82:2 | O God, who shall be like to thee? hold not thy peace, neither be thou still, O God. | How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah. | How long will you go on judging falsely, having respect for the persons of evil-doers? (Selah.) | Till when do ye judge perversely? And the face of the wicked lift up? Selah. |
| Psalms 82:3 | For lo, thy enemies have made a noise: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. | Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy. | Give ear to the cause of the poor and the children without fathers; let those who are troubled and in need have their rights. | Judge ye the weak and fatherless, The afflicted and the poor declare righteous. |
