| Jeremiah 10:1 | Hear ye the word which the Lord hath spoken concerning you, O house of Israel. | Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel: |
| Jeremiah 10:2 | Thus saith the Lord: Learn not according to the ways of the Gentiles: and be not afraid of the signs of heaven, which the heathens fear: | Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. |
| Jeremiah 10:3 | For the laws of the people are vain: for the works of the hand of the workman hath cut a tree out of the forest with an axe. | For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. |
| Jeremiah 10:4 | He hath decked it with silver and gold: he hath put it together with nails and hammers, that it may not fall asunder. | They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. |
