Psalms 89:1A prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, thou hast been our refuge from generation to generation.Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.<Maschil. Of Ethan the Ezrahite.> My song will be of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make his faith clear to all generations. An instruction, by Ethan the Ezrahite. Of the kind acts of Jehovah, to the age I sing, To all generations I make known Thy faithfulness with my mouth,
Psalms 89:2Before the mountains were made, or the earth and the world was formed; from eternity and to eternity thou art God.For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness wilt thou establish in the very heavens. For you have said, Mercy will be made strong for ever; my faith will be unchanging in the heavens. For I said, `To the age is kindness built, The heavens! Thou dost establish Thy faithfulness in them.`
Psalms 89:3Turn not man away to be brought low: and thou hast said: Be converted, O ye sons of men.I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn to David my servant,I have made an agreement with the man of my selection, I have made an oath to David my servant;I have made a covenant for My chosen, I have sworn to David My servant:
Psalms 89:4For a thousand years in thy sight are as yesterday, which is past. And as a watch in the night,Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.I will make your seed go on for ever, your kingdom will be strong through all generations. (Selah.)`Even to the age do I establish thy seed, And have built to generation and generation thy throne. Selah.
Psalms 89:5things that are counted nothing, shall their years be.And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD; thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints. In heaven let them give praise for your wonders, O Lord; and your unchanging faith among the saints.and the heavens confess Thy wonders, O Jehovah, Thy faithfulness also [is] in an assembly of holy ones.
Psalms 89:6In the morning man shall grow up like grass; in the morning he shall flourish and pass away: in the evening he shall fall, grow dry, and wither. For who in the heaven can be compared to the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the LORD?For who is there in the heavens in comparison with the Lord? who is like the Lord among the sons of the gods? For who in the sky, Compareth himself to Jehovah? Is like to Jehovah among sons of the mighty?
Psalms 89:7For in thy wrath we have fainted away: and are troubled in thy indignation.God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence by all them that are about him.God is greatly to be feared among the saints, and to be honoured over all those who are about him.God is very terrible, In the secret counsel of His holy ones, And fearful over all surrounding Him.
Psalms 89:8Thou hast set our iniquities before thy eyes: our life in the light of thy countenance.O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like to thee? or to thy faithfulness around thee?O Lord God of armies, who is strong like you, O Jah? and your unchanging faith is round about you.O Jehovah, God of Hosts, Who [is] like Thee a strong Jah? And Thy faithfulness [is] round about Thee.
Psalms 89:9For all our days are spent; and in thy wrath we have fainted away. Our years shall be considered spider:Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when its waves arise, thou stillest them. You have rule over the sea in storm; when its waves are troubled, you make them calm.Thou [art] ruler over the pride of the sea, In the lifting up of its billows Thou dost restrain them.
Psalms 89:10the days of our years in them are threescore and ten years. But if in the strong they be fourscore years: and what is more of them is labour and sorrow. For mildness is come upon us: and we shall be corrected.Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thy enemies with thy strong arm.Rahab was crushed by you like one wounded to death; with your strong arm you put to flight all your haters.Thou hast bruised Rahab, as one wounded. With the arm of Thy strength Thou hast scattered Thine enemies.
Psalms 89:11Who knoweth the power of thy anger, and for thy fearThe heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world, and the fullness of it, thou hast founded them.Yours are the heavens, and the earth is yours; you have made the world, and everything which is in it.Thine [are] the heavens the earth also [is] Thine, The habitable world and its fulness, Thou hast founded them.
Psalms 89:12can number thy wrath? So make thy right hand known: and men learned in heart, in wisdom. The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name. You have made the north and the south; Tabor and Hermon are sounding with joy at your name.North and south Thou hast appointed them, Tabor and Hermon in Thy name do sing.
Psalms 89:13Return, O Lord, how long? and be entreated in favour of thy servants.Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.Yours is an arm of power; strong is your hand and high your right hand.Thou hast an arm with might, Strong is Thy hand high Thy right hand.
Psalms 89:14We are filled in the morning with thy mercy: and we have rejoiced, and are delighted all our days.Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face. The seat of your kingdom is resting on righteousness and right judging: mercy and good faith come before your face.Righteousness and judgment [Are] the fixed place of Thy throne, Kindness and truth go before Thy face.
Psalms 89:15We have rejoiced for the days in which thou hast humbled us: for the years in which we have seen evils.Blessed are the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.Happy are the people who have knowledge of the holy cry: the light of your face, O Lord, will be shining on their way.O the happiness of the people knowing the shout, O Jehovah, in the light of Thy face they walk habitually.
Psalms 89:16Look upon thy servants and upon their works: and direct their children. In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted. In your name will they have joy all the day: in your righteousness will they be lifted up.In Thy name they rejoice all the day, And in Thy righteousness they are exalted,
Psalms 89:17And let the brightness of the Lord our God be upon us: and direct thou the works of our hands over us; yea, the work of our hands do thou direct. For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favor our horn shall be exalted. For you are the glory of their strength; in your pleasure will our horn be lifted up.For the beauty of their strength [art] Thou, And in Thy good will is our horn exalted,
