My protector and the horn of my salvation, and my support.You have proved my heart; you have visited me in the night; You have tried me, and found nothing; I have resolved that my mouth shall not disobey.You have put my heart to the test, searching me in the night; you have put me to the test and seen no evil purpose in me; I will keep my mouth from sin.Thou hast proved my heart, Thou hast inspected by night, Thou hast tried me, Thou findest nothing; My thoughts pass not over my mouth.
Psalms 17:4Praising I will call upon the Lord: and I shall be saved from my enemies.As for the works of men, by the word of your lips I have kept myself from the ways of the violent.As for the works of men, by the word of your lips I have kept myself from the ways of the violent.As to doings of man, Through a word of Thy lips I have observed The paths of a destroyer;
Psalms 17:5The sorrows of death surrounded me: and the torrents of iniquity troubled me.My steps have held fast to your paths, My feet have not slipped.I have kept my feet in your ways, my steps have not been turned away.To uphold my goings in Thy paths, My steps have not slidden.
Psalms 17:6The sorrows of hell encompassed me: and the snares of death prevented me.I have called on you, for you will answer me, God: Turn your ear to me.
