2nd-Corinthians 3:1Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?Are we beginning again to commend ourselves? or need we, as do some, epistles of commendation to you or from you? Do we seem to be again attempting to put ourselves in the right? or have we need, as some have, of letters of approval to you or from you?Do we begin again to recommend ourselves, except we need, as some, letters of recommendation unto you, or from you?
2nd-Corinthians 3:2Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:Ye are our epistle, written in our hearts, known and read of all men; You yourselves are our letter, whose writing is in our heart, open for every man's reading and knowledge;our letter ye are, having been written in our hearts, known and read by all men,
2nd-Corinthians 3:3Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.being made manifest that ye are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in tables [that are] hearts of flesh. For you are clearly a letter of Christ, the fruit of our work, recorded not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in stone, but in hearts of flesh.manifested that ye are a letter of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, not in the tablets of stone, but in fleshy tablets of the heart,
2nd-Corinthians 3:4And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:And such confidence have we through Christ to God-ward: And this is the certain faith which we have in God through Christ:and such trust we have through the Christ toward God,
2nd-Corinthians 3:5Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God; Not as if we were able by ourselves to do anything for which we might take the credit; but our power comes from God;not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything, as of ourselves, but our sufficiency [is] of God,
2nd-Corinthians 3:6Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.who also made us sufficient as ministers of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. Who has made us able to be servants of a new agreement; not of the letter, but of the Spirit: for the letter gives death, but the Spirit gives life.who also made us sufficient [to be] ministrants of a new covenant, not of letter, but of spirit; for the letter doth kill, and the spirit doth make alive.
2nd-Corinthians 3:7But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:But if the ministration of death, written, [and] engraven on stones, came with glory, so that the children of Israel could not look stedfastly upon the face of Moses for the glory of his face; which [glory] was passing away: For if the operation of the law, giving death, recorded in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the eyes of the children of Israel had to be turned away from the face of Moses because of its glory, a glory which was only for a time:and if the ministration of the death, in letters, engraved in stones, came in glory, so that the sons of Israel were not able to look stedfastly to the face of Moses, because of the glory of his face which was being made useless,
2nd-Corinthians 3:8How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?how shall not rather the ministration of the spirit be with glory? Will not the operation of the Spirit have a much greater glory?how shall the ministration of the Spirit not be more in glory?
2nd-Corinthians 3:9For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.For if the ministration of condemnation hath glory, much rather doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. For if the operation of the law, producing punishment, had its glory, how much greater will be the operation of the Spirit causing righteousness?for if the ministration of the condemnation [is] glory, much more doth the ministration of the righteousness abound in glory;
2nd-Corinthians 3:10For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.For verily that which hath been made glorious hath not been made glorious in this respect, by reason of the glory that surpasseth. For the glory of the first no longer seems to be glory, because of the greater glory of that which comes after.for also even that which hath been glorious, hath not been glorious in this respect, because of the superior glory;
2nd-Corinthians 3:11For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.For if that which passeth away [was] with glory, much more that which remaineth [is] in glory. For if the order which was for a time had its glory, much more will the eternal order have its glory.for if that which is being made useless [is] through glory, much more that which is remaining [is] in glory.
2nd-Corinthians 3:12Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:Having therefore such a hope, we use great boldness of speech, Having then such a hope, we keep nothing back,Having, then, such hope, we use much freedom of speech,
2nd-Corinthians 3:13And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:and [are] not as Moses, [who] put a veil upon his face, that the children of Israel should not look stedfastly on the end of that which was passing away: And are not like Moses, who put a veil on his face, so that the children of Israel might not see clearly to the end of the present order of things:and [are] not as Moses, who was putting a vail upon his own face, for the sons of Israel not stedfastly to look to the end of that which is being made useless,
2nd-Corinthians 3:14But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.but their minds were hardened: for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remaineth, it not being revealed [to them] that it is done away in Christ. But their minds were made hard: for to this very day at the reading of the old agreement the same veil is still unlifted; though it is taken away in Christ.but their minds were hardened, for unto this day the same vail at the reading of the Old Covenant doth remain unwithdrawn which in Christ is being made useless
2nd-Corinthians 3:15But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.But unto this day, whensoever Moses is read, a veil lieth upon their heart. But to this day, at the reading of the law of Moses, a veil is over their heart.but till to-day, when Moses is read, a vail upon their heart doth lie,
2nd-Corinthians 3:16Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.But whensoever it shall turn to the Lord, the veil is taken away. But when it is turned to the Lord, the veil will be taken away.and whenever they may turn unto the Lord, the vail is taken away.
2nd-Corinthians 3:17Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, [there] is liberty. Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there the heart is free.And the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord [is], there [is] liberty;
2nd-Corinthians 3:18But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit. But we all, with unveiled face giving back as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord who is the Spirit.and we all, with unvailed face, the glory of the Lord beholding in a mirror, to the same image are being transformed, from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
