Psalms 90:1LORD, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.Lord, thou hast been our dwelling-place In all generations. <A Prayer of Moses, the man of God.> Lord, you have been our resting-place in all generations.A Prayer of Moses, the man of God. Psalms 90:2Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. Before the mountains were made, before you had given birth to the earth and the world, before time was, and for ever, you are God.Before mountains were brought forth, And Thou dost form the earth and the world, Even from age unto age Thou [art] God.
Psalms 90:3Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.Thou turnest man to destruction, And sayest, Return, ye children of men. You send man back to his dust; and say, Go back, you children of men.Thou turnest man unto a bruised thing, And sayest, Turn back, ye sons of men.
Psalms 90:4For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. For a thousand years in thy sight Are but as yesterday when it is past, And as a watch in the night. For to you a thousand years are no more than yesterday when it is past, and like a watch in the night. For a thousand years in Thine eyes [are] as yesterday, For it passeth on, yea, a watch by night.
Psalms 90:5Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: In the morning they are like grass which groweth up. ...Thou hast inundated them, they are asleep, In the morning as grass he changeth.
Psalms 90:6In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth. In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; In the evening it is cut down, and withereth. In the morning it is green; in the evening it is cut down, and becomes dry.In the morning it flourisheth, and hath changed, At evening it is cut down, and hath withered.
Psalms 90:7For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled. For we are consumed in thine anger, And in thy wrath are we troubled. We are burned up by the heat of your passion, and troubled by your wrath. For we were consumed in Thine anger, And in Thy fury we have been troubled.
Psalms 90:8Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, Our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. You have put our evil doings before you, our secret sins in the light of your face.Thou hast set our iniquities before Thee, Our hidden things at the light of Thy face,
Psalms 90:9For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told. For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: We bring our years to an end as a sigh. For all our days have gone by in your wrath; our years come to an end like a breath. For all our days pined away in Thy wrath, We consumed our years as a meditation.
Psalms 90:10The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. The days of our years are threescore years and ten, Or even by reason of strength fourscore years; Yet is their pride but labor and sorrow; For it is soon gone, and we fly away. The measure of our life is seventy years; and if through strength it may be eighty years, its pride is only trouble and sorrow, for it comes to an end and we are quickly gone.Days of our years, in them [are] seventy years, And if, by reason of might, eighty years, Yet [is] their enlargement labour and vanity, For it hath been cut off hastily, and we fly away.
Psalms 90:11Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.Who knoweth the power of thine anger, And thy wrath according to the fear that is due unto thee? Who has knowledge of the power of your wrath, or who takes note of the weight of your passion?Who knoweth the power of Thine anger? And according to Thy fear Thy wrath?
Psalms 90:12So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. So teach us to number our days, That we may get us a heart of wisdom. So give us knowledge of the number of our days, that we may get a heart of wisdom. To number our days aright let [us] know, And we bring the heart to wisdom.
Psalms 90:13Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.Return, O Jehovah; how long? And let it repent thee concerning thy servants. Come back, O Lord; how long? let your purpose for your servants be changed.Turn back, O Jehovah, till when? And repent concerning Thy servants.
Psalms 90:14O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.Oh satisfy us in the morning with thy lovingkindness, That we may rejoice and be glad all our days. In the morning give us your mercy in full measure; so that we may have joy and delight all our days.Satisfy us at morn [with] Thy kindness, And we sing and rejoice all our days.
Psalms 90:15Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil. Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, And the years wherein we have seen evil. Make us glad in reward for the days of our sorrow, and for the years in which we have seen evil.Cause us to rejoice according to the days Wherein Thou hast afflicted us, The years we have seen evil.
Psalms 90:16Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.Let thy work appear unto thy servants, And thy glory upon their children. Make your work clear to your servants, and your glory to their children.Let Thy work appear unto Thy servants, And Thine honour on their sons.
Psalms 90:17And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; And establish thou the work of our hands upon us; Yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. Psalm 91 Let the pleasure of the Lord our God be on us: O Lord, give strength to the work of our hands. And let the pleasantness of Jehovah our God be upon us, And the work of our hands establish on us, Yea, the work of our hands establish it!
