Psalms 13:1How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?How long, O Jehovah? wilt thou forget me for ever? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me? Unto the end, a psalm for David. The fool hath said in his heart: There is no God, They are corrupt, and are become abominable in their ways: there is none that doth good, no not one.{To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} How long, Jehovah, wilt thou forget me for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
Psalms 13:2How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me? The Lord hath looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there be any that understand and seek God.How long shall I take counsel in my soul, with sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?
Psalms 13:3Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;Consider [and] answer me, O Jehovah my God: Lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the [sleep of] death; They are all gone aside, they are become unprofitable together: there is none that doth good, no not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre: with their tongues they acted deceitfully; the poison of asps is under their lips. Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness; their feet are swift to shed blood. Destruction and unhappiness in their ways: and the way of peace they have not known: there is no fear of God before their eyes.Consider, answer me, O Jehovah my God! lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the [sleep of] death;
Psalms 13:4Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; [Lest] mine adversaries rejoice when I am moved. Shall not all they know that work iniquity, who devour my people as they eat bread ?Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him! [lest] mine adversaries be joyful when I am moved.
Psalms 13:5But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.But I have trusted in thy lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. They have not called upon the Lord: there have they trembled for fear, where there was no fear.As for me, I have confided in thy loving-kindness; my heart shall be joyful in thy salvation.
Psalms 13:6I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.I will sing unto Jehovah, Because he hath dealt bountifully with me. Psalm 14 For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David. For the Lord is in the just generation: you have confounded the counsel of the poor man, but the Lord is his hope.I will sing unto Jehovah, for he hath dealt bountifully with me.
