Psalms 48:1Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised, In the city of our God, in his holy mountain. Unto the end, a psalm for the sons of Core.A Song and Psalm for the sons of Korah. Psalms 48:2Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, Is mount Zion, [on] the sides of the north, The city of the great King. Psalms 48:3God is known in her palaces for a refuge.God hath made himself known in her palaces for a refuge. All you that are earthborn, and you sons of men: both rich and poor together.God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

Psalms 48:8As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Psalms 48:11Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.Let mount Zion be glad, Let the daughters of Judah rejoice, Because of thy judgments. He shall not see destruction, when he shall see the wise dying: the senseless and the fool shall perish together: And they shall leave their riches to strangers:Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.
Psalms 48:12Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.Walk about Zion, and go round about her; Number the towers thereof; and their sepulchres shall be their houses for ever.
