Psalms 60:1O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.O God thou hast cast us off, thou hast broken us down; Thou hast been angry; oh restore us again. Unto the end, in hymns, for David.To the chief Musician upon Shushan-eduth, Michtam of David, to teach; when he strove with Aram-naharaim and with Aram-zobah, when Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the valley of salt twelve thousand. O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.
Psalms 60:2Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.Thou hast made the land to tremble; thou hast rent it: Heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh. Hear, O God, my supplication: be attentive to my prayer,Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal its breaches; for it shaketh.
Psalms 60:3Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.Thou hast showed thy people hard things: Thou hast made us to drink the wine of staggering. To thee have I cried from the ends of the earth: when my heart was in anguish, thou hast exalted me on a rock. Thou hast conducted me;Thou hast shown thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.
Psalms 60:4Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, That it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah for thou hast been my hope; a tower of strength against the face of the enemy.Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.
Psalms 60:5That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.That thy beloved may be delivered, Save with thy right hand, and answer us. In thy tabernacle I shall dwell for ever: I shall be protected under the covert of thy wings.That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.
Psalms 60:6God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.God hath spoken in his holiness: I will exult; I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth. For thou, my God, hast heard my prayer: thou hast given an inheritance to them that fear thy name.God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth.
Psalms 60:7Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the defence of my head; Judah is my sceptre. Thou wilt add days to the days of the king: his years even to generation and generation.Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of my head; Judah is my lawgiver;
Psalms 60:8Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.Moab is my washpot; Upon Edom will I cast my shoe: Philistia, shout thou because of me. He abideth for ever in the sight of God: his mercy and truth who shall search ?Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.
Psalms 60:9Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?Who will bring me into the strong city? Who hath led me unto Edom? So will I sing a psalm to thy name for ever and ever: that I may pay my vows from day to day.Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
Psalms 60:10Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies?Hast not thou, O God, cast us off? And thou goest not forth, O God, with our hosts. Wilt thou not, O God, who hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, who didst not go out with our armies?
Psalms 60:11Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.Give us help against the adversary; For vain is the help of man. Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
Psalms 60:12Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies. Through God we shall do valiantly; For he it is that will tread down our adversaries.
