Psalms 45:1My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.My heart overfloweth with a goodly matter; I speak the things which I have made touching the king: My tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Unto the end, for the sons of Core, for the hidden.To the Overseer. `On the Lilies.` By sons of Korah. An Instruction. -- A song of loves. My heart hath indited a good thing, I am telling my works to a king, My tongue [is] the pen of a speedy writer.
Psalms 45:2Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy li therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.Thou art fairer than the children of men; Grace is poured into thy lips: Therefore God hath blessed thee for ever. Our God is our refuge and strength: a helper in troubles, which have found us exceedingly.Thou hast been beautified above the sons of men, Grace hath been poured into thy lips, Therefore hath God blessed thee to the age.
Psalms 45:3Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O mighty one, Thy glory and thy majesty. Therefore we will not fear, when the earth shall be troubled; and the mountains shall be removed into the heart of the sea.Gird Thy sword upon the thigh, O mighty, Thy glory and Thy majesty!
Psalms 45:4And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.And in thy majesty ride on prosperously, Because of truth and meekness [and] righteousness: And thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things. Their waters roared and were troubled: the mountains were troubled with his strength.As to Thy majesty prosper! ride! Because of truth, and meekness righteousness, And Thy right hand showeth Thee fearful things.
Psalms 45:5Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.Thine arrows are sharp; The peoples fall under thee; [They are] in the heart of the king's enemies. The stream of the river maketh the city of God joyful: the most High hath sanctified his own tabernacle.Thine arrows [are] sharp, Peoples fall under Thee In the heart of the enemies of the king.
Psalms 45:6Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: A sceptre of equity is the sceptre of thy kingdom. God is in the midst thereof, it shall not be moved: God will help it in the morning early.Thy throne, O God, [is] age-during, and for ever, A sceptre of uprightness [Is] the sceptre of Thy kingdom.
Psalms 45:7Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated wickedness: Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows. Nations were troubled, and kingdoms were bowed down: he uttered his voice, the earth trembled.Thou hast loved righteousness and hatest wickedness, Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee, Oil of joy above thy companions.
Psalms 45:8All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.All thy garments [smell of] myrrh, and aloes, [and] cassia; Out of ivory palaces stringed instruments have made thee glad. The Lord of armies is with us: the God of Jacob is our protector.Myrrh and aloes, cassia! all thy garments, Out of palaces of ivory Stringed instruments have made thee glad.
Psalms 45:9Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.Kings' daughters are among thy honorable women: At thy right hand doth stand the queen in gold of Ophir. Come and behold ye the works of the Lord: what wonders he hath done upon earth,Daughters of kings [are] among thy precious ones, A queen hath stood at thy right hand, In pure gold of Ophir.
Psalms 45:10Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; Forget also thine own people, and thy father's house: making wars to cease even to the end of the earth. He shall destroy the bow, and break the weapons: and the shield he shall burn in the fire.Hearken, O daughter, and see, incline thine ear, And forget thy people, and thy father`s house,
Psalms 45:11So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.So will the king desire thy beauty; For he is thy lord; and reverence thou him. Be still and see that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, and I will be exalted in the earth.And the king doth desire thy beauty, Because he [is] thy lord bow thyself to him,
Psalms 45:12And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.And the daughter of Tyre [shall be there] with a gift; The rich among the people shall entreat thy favor. The Lord of armies is with us: the God of Jacob is our protector.And the daughter of Tyre with a present, The rich of the people do appease thy face.
Psalms 45:13The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.The king's daughter within [the palace] is all glorious: Her clothing is inwrought with gold. All glory [is] the daughter of the king within, Of gold-embroidered work [is] her clothing.
Psalms 45:14She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.She shall be led unto the king in broidered work: The virgins her companions that follow her Shall be brought unto thee. In divers colours she is brought to the king, Virgins after her her companions, Are brought to thee.
Psalms 45:15With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace. With gladness and rejoicing shall they be led: They shall enter into the king's palace. They are brought with joy and gladness, They come into the palace of the king.
Psalms 45:16Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, Whom thou shalt make princes in all the earth. Instead of thy fathers are thy sons, Thou dost appoint them for princes in all the earth.
Psalms 45:17I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever. I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: Therefore shall the peoples give thee thanks for ever and ever. Psalm 46 For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of the sons of Korah; set to Alamoth. A Song. I make mention of Thy name in all generations, Therefore do peoples praise Thee, To the age, and for ever!
