Psalms 5:1Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.Give ear to my words, O Jehovah, Consider my meditation. Unto the end, for her that obtaineth the inheritance. A psalm of David. To the Overseer, `Concerning the Inheritances.` A Psalm of David. My sayings hear, O Jehovah, Consider my meditation.
Psalms 5:2Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God; For unto thee do I pray. Give ear, O Lord, to my words, understand my cry.Be attentive to the voice of my cry, My king and my God, For unto Thee I pray habitually.
Psalms 5:3My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.O Jehovah, in the morning shalt thou hear my voice; In the morning will I order [my prayer] unto thee, and will keep watch. Hearken to the voice of my prayer, O my King and my God.Jehovah, [at] morning Thou hearest my voice, [At] morning I set in array for Thee, And I look out.
Psalms 5:4For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: Evil shall not sojourn with thee. For to thee will I pray: O Lord, in the morning thou shalt hear my voice. For not a God desiring wickedness [art] Thou, Evil inhabiteth Thee not.
Psalms 5:5The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. The arrogant shall not stand in thy sight: Thou hatest all workers of iniquity. In the morning I will stand before thee, and will see: because thou art not a God that willest iniquity. The boastful station not themselves before Thine eyes: Thou hast hated all working iniquity.
Psalms 5:6Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.Thou wilt destroy them that speak lies: Jehovah abhorreth the blood-thirsty and deceitful man. Neither shall the wicked dwell near thee: nor shall the unjust abide before thy eyes.Thou destroyest those speaking lies, A man of blood and deceit Jehovah doth abominate.
Psalms 5:7But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple. But as for me, in the abundance of thy lovingkindness will I come into thy house: In thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple. Thou hatest all the workers of iniquity: Thou wilt destroy all that speak a lie. The bloody and the deceitful man the Lord will abhor. And I, in the abundance of Thy kindness, I enter Thy house, I bow myself toward Thy holy temple in Thy fear.
Psalms 5:8Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.Lead me, O Jehovah, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; Make thy way straight before my face. But as for me in the multitude of thy mercy, I will come into thy house; I will worship towards thy holy temple, in thy fear.O Jehovah, lead me in Thy righteousness, Because of those observing me, Make straight before me Thy way,
Psalms 5:9For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue. For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; Their inward part is very wickedness; Their throat is an open sepulchre; They flatter with their tongue. Conduct me, O Lord, in thy justice: because of my enemies, direct my way in thy sight. For there is no stability in their mouth. Their heart [is] mischiefs, An open grave [is] their throat, Their tongue they make smooth.
Psalms 5:10Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee. Hold them guilty, O God; Let them fall by their own counsels; Thrust them out in the multitude of their transgressions; For they have rebelled against thee. for there is no truth in their mouth; their heart is vain.Declare them guilty, O God, Let them fall from their own counsels, In the abundance of their transgressions Drive them away, Because they have rebelled against Thee.
Psalms 5:11But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. But let all those that take refuge in thee rejoice, Let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: Let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. Their throat is an open sepulchre: they dealt deceitfully with their tongues: judge them, O God. Let them fall from their devices: according to the multitude of their wickedness cast them out: for they have provoked thee, O Lord. And rejoice do all trusting in Thee, To the age they sing, and Thou coverest them over, And those loving Thy name exult in Thee.
Psalms 5:12For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. For thou wilt bless the righteous; O Jehovah, thou wilt compass him with favor as with a shield. Psalm 6 For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments, set to the Sheminith. A Psalm of David. But let all them be glad that hope in thee: they shall rejoice for ever, and thou shalt dwell in them. And all they that love thy name shall glory in thee:For Thou blessest the righteous, O Jehovah, As a buckler with favour dost compass him!
