Psalms 7:1O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:O Jehovah my God, in thee do I take refuge: Save me from all them that pursue me, and deliver me, The psalm of David which he sung to the Lord for the words of Chusi the son of Jemini. [2 Kings 16.]
Psalms 7:2Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.Lest they tear my soul like a lion, Rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver. O Lord my God, in thee have I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me.
Psalms 7:3O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;O Jehovah my God, if I have done this; If there be iniquity in my hands; Lest at any time he seize upon my soul like a lion, while there is no one to redeem me, nor to save.
Psalms 7:4If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (Yea, I have delivered him that without cause was mine adversary;) O Lord my God, if I have done this thing, if there be iniquity in my hands:
Psalms 7:5Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.Let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it; Yea, let him tread my life down to the earth, And lay my glory in the dust. Selah If I have rendered to them that repaid me evils, let me deservedly fall empty before my enemies.
Psalms 7:6Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.Arise, O Jehovah, in thine anger; Lift up thyself against the rage of mine adversaries, And awake for me; thou hast commanded judgment. Let the enemy pursue my soul, and take it, and tread down my life on the earth, and bring down my glory to the dust.
Psalms 7:7So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high. And let the congregation of the peoples compass thee about; And over them return thou on high. Rise up, O Lord, in thy anger: and be thou exalted in the borders of my enemies. And arise, O Lord my God, in the precept which thou hast commanded:
Psalms 7:8The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.Jehovah ministereth judgment to the peoples: Judge me, O Jehovah, according to my righteousness, and to mine integrity that is in me. and a congregation of people shall surround thee. And for their sakes return thou on high.
Psalms 7:9Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins. O let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish thou the righteous: For the righteous God trieth the minds and hearts. The Lord judgeth the people. Judge me, O Lord, according to my justice, and according to my innocence in me.
Psalms 7:10My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart. My shield is with God, Who saveth the upright in heart. The wickedness of sinners shall be brought to nought: and thou shalt direct the just: the searcher of hearts and reins is God.
Psalms 7:11God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. God is a righteous judge, Yea, a God that hath indignation every day. Just is my help from the Lord: who saveth the upright of heart.
Psalms 7:12If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready. If a man turn not, he will whet his sword; He hath bent his bow, and made it ready. God is a just judge, strong and patient: is he angry every day?
Psalms 7:13He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors. He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; He maketh his arrows fiery [shafts]. Except you will be converted, he will brandish his sword: he hath bent his bow and made it ready.
Psalms 7:14Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.Behold, he travaileth with iniquity; Yea, he hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood. And in it he hath prepared the instruments of death, he hath made ready his arrows for them that burn.
Psalms 7:15He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.He hath made a pit, and digged it, And is fallen into the ditch which he made. Behold he hath been in labour with injustice; he hath conceived sorrow, and brought forth iniquity.
Psalms 7:16His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate. His mischief shall return upon his own head, And his violence shall come down upon his own pate. He hath opened a pit and dug it; and he is fallen into the hole he made.
