| 1st-Corinthians 7:1 | Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. | Now, as to the things in your letter to me: It is good for a man to have nothing to do with a woman. | But concerning the things of which ye have written [to me]: [It is] good for a man not to touch a woman; | I now deal with the subjects mentioned in your letter. It is well for a man to abstain altogether from marriage. |
| 1st-Corinthians 7:2 | Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. | But because of the desires of the flesh, let every man have his wife, and every woman her husband. | but on account of fornications, let each have his own wife, and each [woman] have her own husband. | But because there is so much fornication every man should have a wife of his own, and every woman should have a husband. |

A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace. | But if the one who is not a Christian has a desire to go away, let it be so: the brother or the sister in such a position is not forced to do one thing or the other: but it is God's pleasure that we may be at peace with one another. | But if the unbeliever go away, let them go away; a brother or a sister is not bound in such [cases], but God has called us in peace. | If, however, the unbeliever is determined to leave, let him or her do so.
