Of David.> O Lord, do not be bitter with me in your wrath; do not send punishment on me in the heat of your passion. | Unto the end, in verses, a psalm for David, for the octave. | {To the chief Musician. On stringed instruments, upon Sheminith. A Psalm of David.} Jehovah, rebuke me not in thine anger, and chasten me not in thy hot displeasure. |
| Psalms 6:2 | Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed. | Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am wasted away: make me well, for even my bones are troubled. | O Lord, rebuke me not in thy indignation, nor chastise me in thy wrath. | Be gracious unto me, Jehovah, for I am withered; Jehovah, heal me, for my bones tremble. |
