Psalms 91:1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.Happy is he whose resting-place is in the secret of the Lord, and under the shade of the wings of the Most High;A psalm of a canticle on the sabbath day.He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalms 91:2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.Who says of the Lord, He is my safe place and my tower of strength: he is my God, in whom is my hope.It is good to give praise to the Lord: and to sing to thy name, O most High.I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Psalms 91:3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.He will take you out of the bird-net, and keep you safe from wasting disease.To shew forth thy mercy in the morning, and thy truth in the night:Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
Psalms 91:4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.You will be covered by his feathers; under his wings you will be safe: his good faith will be your salvation.Upon an instrument of ten strings, upon the psaltery: with a canticle upon the harp.He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Psalms 91:5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;You will have no fear of the evil things of the night, or of the arrow in flight by day,For thou hast given me, O Lord, a delight in thy doings: and in the works of thy hands I shall rejoice.Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Psalms 91:6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.Or of the disease which takes men in the dark, or of the destruction which makes waste when the sun is high.O Lord, how great are thy works! thy thoughts are exceeding deep.Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noon-day.
Psalms 91:7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.You will see a thousand falling by your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you.The senseless man shall not know: nor will the fool understand these things.A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Psalms 91:8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.Only with your eyes will you see the reward of the evil-doers.When the wicked shall spring up as grass: and all the workers of iniquity shall appear: That they may perish for ever and ever:Only with thy eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Psalms 91:9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;Because you have said, I am in the hands of the Lord, the Most High is my safe resting-place;but thou, O Lord, art most high for evermore.Because thou hast made the LORD who is my refuge, even the Most High, thy habitation;
Psalms 91:10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.No evil will come on you, and no disease will come near your tent.For behold thy enemies, O Lord, for behold thy enemies shall perish: and all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
Psalms 91:11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.For he will give you into the care of his angels to keep you wherever you go.But my horn shall be exalted like that of the unicorn: and my old age in plentiful mercy.For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
Psalms 91:12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.In their hands they will keep you up, so that your foot may not be crushed against a stone.My eye also hath looked down upon my enemies: and my ear shall hear of the downfall of the malignant that rise up against me.They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Psalms 91:13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.You will put your foot on the lion and the snake; the young lion and the great snake will be crushed under your feet.The just shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow up like the cedar of Libanus.Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Psalms 91:14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.Because he has given me his love, I will take him out of danger: I will put him in a place of honour, because he has kept my name in his heart.They that are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of the house of our God.Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
Psalms 91:15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.When his cry comes up to me, I will give him an answer: I will be with him in trouble; I will make him free from danger and give him honour.They shall still increase in a fruitful old age: and shall be well treated,He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him.
Psalms 91:16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.With long life will he be rewarded; and I will let him see my salvation.that they may shew, That the Lord our God is righteous, and there is no iniquity in him.With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.
