| Psalms 60:3 | Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment. | You have made the people see hard times; you have given us the wine of shaking for our drink. | To thee have I cried from the ends of the earth: when my heart was in anguish, thou hast exalted me on a rock. Thou hast conducted me; | Thou hast shewn Thy people a hard thing, Thou hast caused us to drink wine of trembling. |
| Psalms 60:4 | Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah. | Give a safe place to those who have fear of you, where they may go in flight from before the bow. (Selah.) | for thou hast been my hope; a tower of strength against the face of the enemy. | Thou hast given to those fearing thee an ensign. To be lifted up as an ensign Because of truth. Selah. |
| Psalms 60:5 | That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me. | So that your loved ones may be made safe, let your right hand be my salvation, and give me an answer. | In thy tabernacle I shall dwell for ever: I shall be protected under the covert of thy wings. | That Thy beloved ones may be drawn out, Save [with] Thy right hand, and answer us. |
| Psalms 60:6 | God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth. | God has said in his holy place, I will be glad: I will make a division of Shechem, and the valley of Succoth will be measured out. | For thou, my God, hast heard my prayer: thou hast given an inheritance to them that fear thy name. | God hath spoken in His holiness: I exult I apportion Shechem, And the valley of Succoth I measure, |
| Psalms 60:7 | Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver; | Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; and Ephraim is the strength of my head; Judah is my law-giver; | Thou wilt add days to the days of the king: his years even to generation and generation. | Mine [is] Gilead, and mine [is] Manasseh, And Ephraim [is] the strength of my head, Judah [is] my lawgiver, |
| Psalms 60:8 | Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me. | Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I put out my shoe; over Philistia will a glad cry be sounded. | He abideth for ever in the sight of God: his mercy and truth who shall search ? | Moab [is] my pot for washing, over Edom I cast my shoe, Shout, concerning me, O Philistia. |
| Psalms 60:9 | Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom? | Who will take me into the strong town? who will be my guide into Edom? | So will I sing a psalm to thy name for ever and ever: that I may pay my vows from day to day. | Who doth bring me [to] a city of bulwarks? Who hath led me unto Edom? |
| Psalms 60:10 | Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies? | Have not you put us away, O God? and you have not gone out with our armies. | | Is it not Thou, O God? hast Thou cast us off? And dost Thou not go forth, O God, with our hosts! |
| Psalms 60:11 | Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. | Give us help in our trouble; for there is no help in man. | | Give to us help from adversity, And vain [is] the deliverance of man. |
