Psalms 32:1Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.<Of David. Maschil.> Happy is he who has forgiveness for his wrongdoing, and whose sin is covered.By David. An Instruction. O the happiness of him whose transgression [is] forgiven, Whose sin is covered.A psalm for David. Rejoice in the Lord, O ye just: praise becometh the upright.
Psalms 32:2Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. Happy is the man in whom the Lord sees no evil, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.O the happiness of a man, To whom Jehovah imputeth not iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit.Give praise to the Lord on the harp; sing to him with the psaltery, the instrument of ten strings.
Psalms 32:3When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long. When I kept my mouth shut, my bones were wasted, because of my crying all through the day. When I have kept silence, become old have my bones, Through my roaring all the day.Sing to him a new canticle, sing well unto him with a loud noise.
Psalms 32:4For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah. For the weight of your hand was on me day and night; my body became dry like the earth in summer. (Selah.)When by day and by night Thy hand is heavy upon me, My moisture hath been changed Into the droughts of summer. Selah. For the word of the Lord is right, and all his works are done with faithfulness.
Psalms 32:5I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.I made my wrongdoing clear to you, and did not keep back my sin. I said, I will put it all before the Lord; and you took away my wrongdoing and my sin. (Selah.)My sin I cause Thee to know, And mine iniquity I have not covered. I have said, `I confess concerning My transgressions to Jehovah,` And Thou Thou hast taken away, The iniquity of my sin. Selah. He loveth mercy and judgment; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.
Psalms 32:6For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.For this cause let every saint make his prayer to you at a time when you are near: then the overflowing of the great waters will not overtake him.For this doth every saintly one pray to Thee, As the time to find. Surely at an overflowing of many waters, Unto him they come not.By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the power of them by the spirit of his mouth:
Psalms 32:7Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. You are my safe and secret place; you will keep me from trouble; you will put songs of salvation on the lips of those who are round me. (Selah.)Thou [art] a hiding-place for me, From distress Thou dost keep me, [With] songs of deliverance dost compass me. Selah.Gathering together the waters of the sea, as in a vessel; laying up the depths in storehouses.
Psalms 32:8I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.I will give you knowledge, teaching you the way to go; my eye will be your guide.I cause thee to act wisely, And direct thee in the way that thou goest, I cause mine eye to take counsel concerning thee.Let all the earth fear the Lord, and let all the inhabitants of the world be in awe of him.
Psalms 32:9Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.Do not be like the horse or the ass, without sense; ...Be ye not as a horse as a mule, Without understanding, With bridle and bit, its ornaments, to curb, Not to come near unto thee. For he spoke and they were made: he commanded and they were created.
Psalms 32:10Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about. The sinner will be full of trouble; but mercy will be round the man who has faith in the Lord. Many [are] the pains of the wicked; As to him who is trusting in Jehovah, Kindness doth compass him.The Lord bringeth to naught the counsels of nations; and he rejecteth the devices of people, and casteth away the counsels of princes.
Psalms 32:11Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.Be glad in the Lord with joy, you upright men; give cries of joy, all you whose hearts are true.Be glad in Jehovah, and rejoice, ye righteous, And sing, all ye upright of heart! But the counsel of the Lord standeth for ever: the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
