| Psalms 62:1 | Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. | <To the chief music-maker. After Jeduthun. A Psalm. Of David.> My soul, put all your faith in God; for from him comes my salvation. |
| Psalms 62:2 | He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. | He only is my Rock and my salvation; he is my high tower; I will not be greatly moved. |
| Psalms 62:3 | How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence. | How long will you go on designing evil against a man? running against him as against a broken wall, which is on the point of falling? |
| Psalms 62:4 | They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah. | Their only thought is to put him down from his place of honour; their delight is in deceit: blessing is in their mouths but cursing in their hearts. (Selah.) |
| Psalms 62:5 | My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. | My soul, put all your faith in God; for from him comes my hope. |

| Psalms 62:9 | Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity. | Truly men of low birth are nothing, and men of high position are not what they seem; if they are put in the scales together they are less than a breath. |
| Psalms 62:10 | Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them. | Have no faith in the rewards of evil-doing, or in profits wrongly made: if your wealth is increased, do not put your hopes on it. |
