| Psalms 84:1 | How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts! | <To the chief music-maker; put to the Gittith A Psalm. Of the sons of Korah.> How dear are your tents, O Lord of armies! |
| Psalms 84:2 | My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God. | The passion of my soul's desire is for the house of the Lord; my heart and my flesh are crying out for the living God. |
| Psalms 84:3 | Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God. | The little birds have places for themselves, where they may put their young, even your altars, O Lord of armies, my King and my God. |
| Psalms 84:4 | Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah. | Happy are they whose resting-place is in your house: they will still be praising you. (Selah.) |

I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. | For a day in your house is better than a thousand. It is better to be a door-keeper in the house of my God, than to be living in the tents of sin. |
| Psalms 84:11 | For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. | The Lord God is our sun and our strength: the Lord will give grace and glory: he will not keep back any good thing from those whose ways are upright. |
