Job 12:1And Job answered and said,And Job answered and said,When Job answered, and said:And Job made answer and said,
Job 12:2No doubt but ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.Truly ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you!Are you then men alone, and shall wisdom die with you?No doubt you have knowledge, and wisdom will come to an end with you.
Job 12:3But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these?I also have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you; and who knoweth not such things as these?I also have a heart as well as you: for who is ignorant of these things, which you know?But I have a mind as well as you; I am equal to you: yes, who has not knowledge of such things as these?
Job 12:4I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.I am to be one that is a derision to his friend, I who call upon +God, and whom he will answer: a derision is the just upright [man].He that is mocked by his friends as I, shall call upon God and he will hear him: for the simplicity of the just man is laughed to scorn.It seems that I am to be as one who is a cause of laughing to his neighbour, one who makes his prayer to God and is answered! the upright man who has done no wrong is to be made sport of!
Job 12:5He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.He that is ready to stumble with the foot is a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.The lamp despised in the thoughts of the rich, is ready for the time appointed.In the thought of him who is in comfort there is no respect for one who is in trouble; such is the fate of those whose feet are slipping.
Job 12:6The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly.The tents of desolators are in peace, and they that provoke ùGod are secure; into whose hand +God bringeth.The tabernacles of robbers abound, and they provoke God boldly; whereas it is he that hath given all into their hands:There is wealth in the tents of those who make destruction, and those by whom God is moved to wrath are safe; even those whose god is their strength.
Job 12:7But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowl of the heavens, and they shall tell thee;But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee: and the birds of the air, and they shall tell thee.But put now a question to the beasts, and get teaching from them; or to the birds of the heaven, and they will make it clear to you;
Job 12:8Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee; and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.Speak to the earth, and it shall answer thee: and the fishes of the sea shall tell.Or to the things which go flat on the earth, and they will give you wisdom; and the fishes of the sea will give you news of it.
Job 12:9Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?Who knoweth not in all these, that the hand of Jehovah hath wrought this?Who is ignorant that the hand of the Lord hath made all these things?Who does not see by all these that the hand of the Lord has done this?
Job 12:10In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the spirit of all flesh of man.In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the spirit of all flesh of man.In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all flesh of man.
Job 12:11Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his meat?Doth not the ear try words, as the palate tasteth food?Doth not the ear discern words, and the palate of him that eateth, the taste?Are not words tested by the ear, even as food is tasted by the mouth?
Job 12:12With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.With the aged is wisdom, and in length of days understanding.In the ancient is wisdom, and in length of days prudence.Old men have wisdom, and a long life gives knowledge.
Job 12:13With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.With him is wisdom and might; he hath counsel and understanding.With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.With him there is wisdom and strength; power and knowledge are his.
Job 12:14Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.Behold, he breaketh down, and it is not built again; he shutteth up a man, and there is no opening.If he pull down, there is no man that can build up: if he shut up a. man, there is none that can open.Truly, there is no building up of what is pulled down by him; when a man is shut up by him, no one may let him loose.
Job 12:15Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up; and he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.If he withhold the waters, all things shall be dried up: and if he send them out, they shall overturn the earth.Truly, he keeps back the waters and they are dry; he sends them out and the earth is overturned.
Job 12:16With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his.With him is strength and effectual knowledge; the deceived and the deceiver are his.With him is strength and wisdom: he knoweth both the deceiver, and him that is deceived.With him are strength and wise designs; he who is guided into error, together with his guide, are in his hands;
Job 12:17He leadeth counsellers away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools.He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and judges maketh he fools;He bringeth counsellors to a foolish end, and judges to insensibility.He takes away the wisdom of the wise guides, and makes judges foolish;
Job 12:18He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle.He weakeneth the government of kings, and bindeth their loins with a fetter;He looseth the belt of kings, and girdeth their loins with a cord.He undoes the chains of kings, and puts his band on them;
Job 12:19He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty. He leadeth priests away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty;He leadeth away priests without glory, and overthroweth nobles.He makes priests prisoners, overturning those in safe positions;
Job 12:20He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged.He depriveth of speech the trusty, and taketh away the judgment of the elders;He changeth the speech of the true speakers, and taketh away the doctrine of the aged.He makes the words of responsible persons without effect, and takes away the good sense of the old;
Job 12:21He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty. He poureth contempt upon nobles, and slackeneth the girdle of the mighty;He poureth contempt upon princes, and relieveth them that were oppressed.He puts shame on chiefs, and takes away the power of the strong;
Job 12:22He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death. He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out into light the shadow of death;He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth up to light the shadow of death.Uncovering deep things out of the dark, and making the deep shade bright;
Job 12:23He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again.He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them; he spreadeth out the nations, and bringeth them in;He multiplieth nations, and destroyeth them, and restoreth them again after they were overthrown.Increasing nations, and sending destruction on them; making wide the lands of peoples, and then giving them up.
Job 12:24He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.He taketh away the understanding of the chiefs of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste.He changeth the heart of the princes of the people of the earth, and deceiveth them that they walk in vain where there is no way.He takes away the wisdom of the rulers of the earth, and sends them wandering in a waste where there is no way.
Job 12:25They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunken man.They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunkard.They shall grope as in the dark, and not in the light, and he shall make them stagger like men that are drunk.They go feeling about in the dark without light, wandering without help like those overcome with wine.
