| Psalms 79:1 | O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps. | {A Psalm of Asaph.} O God, the nations are come into thine inheritance: thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem in heaps. | Unto the end, for them that shall he changed, a testimony for Asaph, a psalm. | <A Psalm. Of Asaph.> O God, the nations have come into your heritage; they have made your holy Temple unclean; they have made Jerusalem a mass of broken walls. |

| Psalms 79:6 | Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name. | Pour out thy fury upon the nations that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that call not upon thy name: | How long wilt thou feed us with the bread of tears: and give us for our drink tears in measure? | Let your wrath be on the nations who have no knowledge of you, and on the kingdoms who have not made prayer to your name. |
