Job 26:1But Job answered and said,And Job answered and said,Then Job answered, and said:But Job answered and said,
Job 26:2How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength? How hast thou helped the powerless; how saved the arm that is without strength!Whose helper art thou? is it of him that is weak? and dost thou hold up the arm of him that has no strength? How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength?
Job 26:3How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom, and abundantly declared the thing as it is!To whom hast thou given counsel? perhaps to him that hath no wisdom, and thou hast shewn thy very great prudence. How hast thou counseled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou abundantly declared the thing as it is?
Job 26:4To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee? For whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?Whom hast thou desired to teach? was it not him that made life?To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?
Job 26:5Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof. The shades tremble beneath the waters and the inhabitants thereof;Behold the giants groan under the waters, and they that dwell with them.Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.
Job 26:6Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.Sheol is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.Hell is naked before him, and there is no covering for destruction.Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.
Job 26:7He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. He stretcheth out the north over empty space, he hangeth the earth upon nothing; He stretched out the north over the empty space, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
Job 26:8He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not rent under them.He bindeth up the waters in his clouds, so that they break not out and fall down together. He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.
Job 26:9He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it. He covereth the face of his throne, he spreadeth his cloud upon it.He withholdeth the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud over it.He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.
Job 26:10He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.He hath traced a fixed circle over the waters, unto the confines of light and darkness. He hath set bounds about the waters, till light and darkness come to an end.He hath encompassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
Job 26:11The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof. The pillars of the heavens tremble and are astonished at his rebuke. The pillars of heaven tremble, and dread at his beck. The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.
Job 26:12He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud. He stirreth up the sea by his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through Rahab.By his power the seas are suddenly gathered together, and his wisdom has struck the proud one.He divideth the sea by his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.
Job 26:13By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.By his Spirit the heavens are adorned; his hand hath formed the fleeing serpent. His spirit hath adorned the heavens, and his obstetric hand brought forth the winding serpent.By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.
Job 26:14Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?Lo, these are the borders of his ways; but what a whisper of a word do we hear of him! And the thunder of his power, who can understand?Lo, these things are said in part of his ways: and seeing we have heard scarce a little drop of his word, who shall be able to behold the thunder of his greatness?Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
