Job 41:1Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?Wilt thou draw out the leviathan with the hook, and press down his tongue with a cord?I will not stir him up, like one that is cruel : for who can resist my countenance?Canst thou draw out leviathan with a hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?
Job 41:2Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?Wilt thou put a rush-rope into his nose, and pierce his jaw with a spike?Who hath given me before that I should repay him? All things that are under heaven are mine.Canst thou put a hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?
Job 41:3Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee? Will he make many supplications unto thee? or will he speak softly unto thee?I will not spare him, nor his mighty words, and framed to make supplication. Will he make many supplications to thee? will he speak soft words to thee?
Job 41:4Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever? Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him as a bondman for ever?Who can discover the face of his garment? or who can go into the midst of his mouth? Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever?
Job 41:5Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?Wilt thou play with him as with a bird, and wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about.Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?
Job 41:6Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants? Shall partners make traffic of him, will they divide him among merchants? His body is like molten shields, shut close up with scales pressing upon one another.Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants.
Job 41:7Canst thou fill his skin with barbed iron? or his head with fish spears?Wilt thou fill his skin with darts, and his head with fish-spears?One is joined to another, and not so much as any air can come between them :Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears?
Job 41:8Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more. Lay thy hand upon him; remember the battle, do no more! They stick one to another and they hold one another fast, and shall not be separated.Lay thy hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.
Job 41:9Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him? Lo, hope as to him is belied: is not one cast down even at the sight of him?His sneezing is like the shining of fire, and his eyes like the eyelids of the morning.Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him?
Job 41:10None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?None is so bold as to stir him up; and who is he that will stand before me?Out of his mouth go forth lamps, like torches of lighted fire.None is so fierce that he dare rouse him: who then is able to stand before me?
Job 41:11Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.Who hath first given to me, that I should repay [him]? [Whatsoever is] under the whole heaven is mine.Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, like that of a pot heated and boiling.Who hath first benefited me, that I should repay him? whatever is under the whole heaven is mine.
Job 41:12I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion.I will not be silent as to his parts, the story of his power, and the beauty of his structure. His breath kindleth coals, and a flame cometh forth out of his mouth.I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion.
Job 41:13Who can discover the face of his garment? or who can come to him with his double bridle?Who can uncover the surface of his garment? who can come within his double jaws?In his neck strength shall dwell, and want goeth before his face.Who can discover the face of his garment? or who can come to him with his double bridle?
Job 41:14Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about.Who can open the doors of his face? Round about his teeth is terror. The members of his flesh cleave one to another : he shall send lightnings against him, and they shall not be carried to another place.Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible around.
Job 41:15His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal. The rows of his shields are a pride, shut up together [as with] a close seal. His heart shall be as hard as a stone, and as firm as a smith's anvil. His scales are his pride, shut together as with a close seal.
Job 41:16One is so near to another, that no air can come between them. One is so near to another that no air can come between them; When he shall raise him up, the angels shall fear, and being affrighted shall purify themselves. One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.
Job 41:17They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered. They are joined each to its fellow; they stick together, and cannot be sundered. When a sword shall lay at him, it shall not be able to hold, nor a spear, nor a breastplate. They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.
Job 41:18By his neesings a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning. His sneezings flash light, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning. For he shall esteem iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood. His sneezings flash light, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.
Job 41:19Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.Out of his mouth go forth flames; sparks of fire leap out:The archer shall not put him to flight, the stones of the sling are to him like stubble.Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire dart forth.
Job 41:20Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron.Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a boiling pot and cauldron. As stubble will he esteem the hammer, and he will laugh him to scorn who shaketh the spear.Out of his nostrils issueth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron.
Job 41:21His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth. His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth. The beams of the sun shall be under him, and he shall strew gold under him like mire. His breath kindleth coals, and a flame issueth from his mouth.
Job 41:22In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him. In his neck lodgeth strength, and terror danceth before him.He shall make the deep sea to boil like a pot, and shall make it as when ointments boil.In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him.
Job 41:23The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved. The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are fused upon him, they cannot be moved.A path shall shine after him, he shall esteem the deep as growing old.The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved.
Job 41:24His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone. His heart is firm as a stone, yea, firm as the nether [millstone].There is no power upon earth that can be compared with him who was made to fear no one.His heart is as firm as a stone; yes, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone.
Job 41:25When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves. When he raiseth himself up, the mighty are afraid: they are beside themselves with consternation. He beholdeth every high thing, he is king over all the children of pride. When he raiseth himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves.
Job 41:26The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon. If any reach him with a sword, it cannot hold; neither spear, nor dart, nor harpoon. The sword of him that attacketh him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon.
Job 41:27He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood.He esteemeth iron as straw, bronze as rotten wood.He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood.
Job 41:28The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned with him into stubble. The arrow will not make him flee; slingstones are turned with him into stubble. The arrow cannot make him flee: sling-stones are turned with him into stubble.
Job 41:29Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear.Clubs are counted as stubble; he laugheth at the shaking of a javelin.Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear.
Job 41:30Sharp stones are under him: he spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the mire. His under parts are sharp potsherds: he spreadeth a threshing-sledge upon the mire.Sharp stones are under him: he spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the mire.
Job 41:31He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment. He maketh the deep to boil like a pot; he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment; He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment.
Job 41:32He maketh a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary. He maketh the path to shine after him: one would think the deep to be hoary. He maketh a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary.
Job 41:33Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.
Job 41:34He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride. He beholdeth all high things; he is king over all the proud beasts. He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.
