Psalms 61:1Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. {To the chief Musician. On a stringed instrument. Psalms 61:2From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: thou wilt lead me on to a rock which is too high for me.Shall not my soul be subject to God? for from him is my salvation. From the end of the earth will I cry to thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
Psalms 61:3For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. For thou hast been a refuge for me, a strong tower from before the enemy. For he is my God and my saviour: he is my protector, I shall be moved no more. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
Psalms 61:4I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.I will sojourn in thy tent for ever; I will take refuge in the covert of thy wings. Selah. How long do you rush in upon a man? you all kill, as if you were thrusting down a leaning wall, and a tottering fence.I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
Psalms 61:5For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name. For thou, O God, hast heard my vows; thou hast given [me] the inheritance of those that fear thy name. But they have thought to cast away my price; I ran in thirst: they blessed with their mouth, but cursed with their heart. For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.
Psalms 61:6Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.Thou wilt add days to the days of the king: his years shall be as many generations. But be thou, O my soul, subject to God: for from him is my patience.Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.
Psalms 61:7He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.He shall abide before God for ever: bestow loving-kindness and truth, that they may preserve him.For he is my God and my saviour: he is my helper, I shall not be moved. He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.
Psalms 61:8So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.So will I sing forth thy name for ever, performing my vows from day to day.In God is my salvation and my glory: he is the God of my help, and my hope is in God.So will I sing praise to thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
