Job 40:1Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said,And Jehovah answered Job and said,And the Lord answering Job out of the whirlwind, said :And Jehovah doth answer Job, and saith:
Job 40:2Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.Shall he that will contend with the Almighty instruct [him]? he that reproveth +God, let him answer it.Gird up thy loins like a man : I will ask thee, and do thou tell me.Is the striver with the Mighty instructed? The reprover of God, let him answer it.
Job 40:3Then Job answered the LORD, and said,And Job answered Jehovah and said,Wilt thou make void my judgment : and condemn me, that thou mayst be justified? And Job answereth Jehovah, and saith:
Job 40:4Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.Behold, I am nought: what shall I answer thee? I will lay my hand upon my mouth. And hast thou an arm like God, and canst thou thunder with a voice like him?Lo, I have been vile, What do I return to Thee? My hand I have placed on my mouth.
Job 40:5Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.Once have I spoken, and I will not answer; yea twice, but I will proceed no further.Clothe thyself with beauty, and set thyself up on high and be glorious, and put on goodly garments.Once I have spoken, and I answer not, And twice, and I add not.
Job 40:6Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,And Jehovah answered Job out of the whirlwind and said,Scatter the proud in thy indignation, and behold every arrogant man, and humble him.And Jehovah answereth Job out of the whirlwind, and saith:
Job 40:7Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.Gird up now thy loins like a man: I will demand of thee, and inform thou me.Look on all that are proud, and confound them, and crush the wicked in their place.Gird, I pray thee, as a man, thy loins, I ask thee, and cause thou Me to know.
Job 40:8Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous? Wilt thou also annul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me that thou mayest be righteous?Hide them in the dust together, and plunge their faces into the pit.Dost thou also make void My judgment? Dost thou condemn Me, That thou mayest be righteous?
Job 40:9Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?Hast thou an arm like ùGod? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him? Then I will confess that thy right hand is able to save thee. And an arm like God hast thou? And with a voice like Him dost thou thunder?
Job 40:10Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty. Deck thyself now with glory and excellency, and clothe thyself with majesty and splendour.Behold behemoth whom I made with thee, he eateth grass like an ox.Put on, I pray thee, excellency and loftiness, Yea, honour and beauty put on.
Job 40:11Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him. Cast abroad the ragings of thine anger, and look on every one that is proud, and abase him:His strength is in his loins, and his force in the navel of his belly.Scatter abroad the wrath of thine anger, And see every proud one, and make him low.
Job 40:12Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.Look on every one that is proud, bring him low, and tread down the wicked in their place:He setteth up his tail like a cedar, the sinews of his testicles are wrapped together.See every proud one humble him, And tread down the wicked in their place.
Job 40:13Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.Hide them in the dust together; bind their faces in secret. His bones are like pipes of brass, his gristle like plates of iron.Hide them in the dust together, Their faces bind in secret.
Job 40:14Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee. Then will I also praise thee, because thy right hand saveth thee.He is the beginning of the ways of God, who made him, he will apply his sword. And even I I do praise thee, For thy right hand giveth salvation to thee.
Job 40:15Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.See now the behemoth, which I made with thee: he eateth grass as an ox.To him the mountains bring forth grass : there all the beasts of the field shall play.Lo, I pray thee, Behemoth, that I made with thee: Grass as an ox he eateth.
Job 40:16Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.Behold now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the muscles of his belly. He sleepeth under the shadow, in the covert of the reed, and in moist places.Lo, I pray thee, his power [is] in his loins, And his strength in the muscles of his belly.
Job 40:17He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. He bendeth his tail like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are woven together. The shades cover his shadow, the willows of the brook shall compass him about. He doth bend his tail as a cedar, The sinews of his thighs are wrapped together,
Job 40:18His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron. His bones are tubes of bronze, his members are like bars of iron.Behold, he will drink up a river, and not wonder : and he trusteth that the Jordan may run into his mouth. His bones [are] tubes of brass, His bones [are] as a bar of iron.
Job 40:19He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.He is the chief of ùGod's ways: he that made him gave him his sword.In his eyes as with a hook he shall take him, and bore through his nostrils with stakes.He [is] a beginning of the ways of God, His Maker bringeth nigh his sword;
Job 40:20Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play. For the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.Canst thou draw out the leviathan with a hook, or canst thou tie his tongue with a cord? For food do mountains bear for him, And all the beasts of the field play there.
Job 40:21He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.He lieth under lotus-bushes, in the covert of the reed and fen:Canst thou put a ring in his nose, or bore through his jaw with a buckle?Under shades he lieth down, In a secret place of reed and mire.
Job 40:22The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.Lotus-bushes cover him with their shade; the willows of the brook surround him. Will he make many supplications to thee, or speak soft words to thee?Cover him do shades, [with] their shadow, Cover him do willows of the brook.
Job 40:23Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.Lo, the river overfloweth he startleth not: he is confident though a Jordan break forth against his mouth. Will he make a covenant with thee, and wilt thou take him to be a servant for ever?Lo, a flood oppresseth he doth not haste, He is confident though Jordan Doth come forth unto his mouth.
Job 40:24He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.Shall he be taken in front? will they pierce through [his] nose in the trap?Shalt thou play with him as with a bird, or tie him up for thy handmaids? Before his eyes doth [one] take him, With snares doth [one] pierce the nose?
