| Psalms 63:1 | O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; | {A Psalm of David; when he was in the wilderness of Judah.} O God, thou art my ùGod; early will I seek thee. My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh languisheth for thee, in a dry and weary land without water: | Unto the end, a psalm for David. | A Psalm of David, in his being in the wilderness of Judah. O God, Thou [art] my God, earnestly do I seek Thee, Thirsted for Thee hath my soul, Longed for Thee hath my flesh, In a land dry and weary, without waters. |
| Psalms 63:2 | To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. | To see thy power and thy glory, as I have beheld thee in the sanctuary; | Hear, O God, my prayer, when I make supplication to thee : deliver my soul from the fear of the enemy. | So in the sanctuary I have seen Thee, To behold Thy strength and Thine honour. |
| Psalms 63:3 | Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. | For thy loving-kindness is better than life: my lips shall praise thee. | Thou hast protected me from the assembly of the malignant; from the multitude of the workers of iniquity. | Because better [is] Thy kindness than life, My lips do praise Thee. |

| Psalms 63:6 | When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. | When I remember thee upon my bed, I meditate on thee in the night-watches: | They will shoot at him on a sudden, and will not fear: they are resolute in wickedness. They have talked of hiding snares; they have said: Who shall see them? | If I have remembered Thee on my couch, In the watches I meditate on Thee. |

And they declared the works of God: and understood his doings. | They cause him to run on the edge of the sword, A portion for foxes they are. |
