Psalms 69:1Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.{To the chief Musician. Upon Shoshannim. [A Psalm] of David.} Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto [my] soul.Unto the end, a psalm for David, to bring to remembrance that the Lord saved him.To the Overseer. `On the Lilies,` by David. Save me, O God, for come have waters unto the soul.
Psalms 69:2I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing; I am come into the depths of waters, and the flood overfloweth me.O God, come to my assistance; O Lord, make haste to help me.I have sunk in deep mire, And there is no standing, I have come into the depths of the waters, And a flood hath overflown me.
Psalms 69:3I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.I am weary with my crying, my throat is parched; mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.Let them be confounded and ashamed that seek my soul:I have been wearied with my calling, Burnt hath been my throat, Consumed have been mine eyes, waiting for my God.
Psalms 69:4They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.Let them be turned backward, and blush for shame that desire evils to me: Let them be presently turned away blushing for shame that say to me: 'T is well, 't is well.Those hating me without cause Have been more than the hairs of my head, Mighty have been my destroyers, My lying enemies, That which I took not away I bring back.
Psalms 69:5O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.Thou, O God, knowest my foolishness, and my trespasses are not hidden from thee.Let all that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee; and let such as love thy salvation say always: The Lord be magnified.O God, Thou Thou hast known Concerning my overturn, And my desolations from Thee have not been hid.
Psalms 69:6Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.Let not them that wait on thee, Lord, Jehovah of hosts, be ashamed through me; let not those that seek thee be confounded through me, O God of Israel.But I am needy and poor; O God, help me. Thou art my helper and my deliverer: O Lord, make no delay.Let not those waiting on Thee be ashamed because of me, O Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, Let not those seeking Thee Blush because of me, O God of Israel.
Psalms 69:7Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; confusion hath covered my face.For because of Thee I have borne reproach, Shame hath covered my face.
Psalms 69:8I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's sons;A stranger I have been to my brother, And a foreigner to sons of my mother.
Psalms 69:9For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me. For the zeal of thy house hath devoured me, and the reproaches of them that reproach thee have fallen upon me.For zeal for Thy house hath consumed me, And the reproaches of Thy reproachers Have fallen upon me.
Psalms 69:10When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.And I wept, my soul was fasting: that also was to my reproach;And I weep in the fasting of my soul, And it is for a reproach to me.
Psalms 69:11I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them. And I made sackcloth my garment: then I became a proverb to them.And I make my clothing sackcloth, And I am to them for a simile.
Psalms 69:12They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards. They that sit in the gate talk of me, and [I am] the song of the drunkards.Those sitting at the gate meditate concerning me, And those drinking strong drink, Play on instruments.
Psalms 69:13But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, Jehovah, in an acceptable time: O God, in the abundance of thy loving-kindness answer me, according to the truth of thy salvation:And I my prayer [is] to Thee, O Jehovah, A time of good pleasure, O God, In the abundance of Thy kindness, Answer me in the truth of Thy salvation.
Psalms 69:14Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.Deliver me out of the mire, let me not sink; let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the depths of waters.Deliver me from the mire, and let me not sink, Let me be delivered from those hating me, And from deep places of waters.
Psalms 69:15Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.Let not the flood of waters overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up; and let not the pit shut its mouth upon me.Let not a flood of waters overflow me, Nor let the deep swallow me up, Nor let the pit shut her mouth upon me.
Psalms 69:16Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.Answer me, O Jehovah; for thy loving-kindness is good: according to the abundance of thy tender mercies, turn toward me;Answer me, O Jehovah, for good [is] Thy kindness, According to the abundance Of Thy mercies turn Thou unto me,
Psalms 69:17And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.And hide not thy face from thy servant, for I am in trouble: answer me speedily.And hide not Thy face from Thy servant, For I am in distress haste, answer me.
Psalms 69:18Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.Draw nigh unto my soul, be its redeemer; ransom me because of mine enemies.Be near unto my soul redeem it, Because of mine enemies ransom me.
Psalms 69:19Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.*Thou* knowest my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.Thou Thou hast known my reproach, And my shame, and my blushing, Before Thee [are] all mine adversaries.
Psalms 69:20Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.Reproach hath broken my heart, and I am overwhelmed: and I looked for sympathy, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.Reproach hath broken my heart, and I am sick, And I look for a bemoaner, and there is none, And for comforters, and I have found none.
Psalms 69:21They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.Yea, they gave me gall for my food, and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.And they give for my food gall, And for my thirst cause me to drink vinegar.
Psalms 69:22Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.Let their table become a snare before them, and their very welfare a trap;Their table before them is for a snare, And for a recompence for a trap.

Psalms 69:26For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.For they persecute him whom *thou* hast smitten, and they talk for the sorrow of those whom thou hast wounded.For they have pursued him Thou hast smitten, And recount of the pain of Thy pierced ones.
Psalms 69:27Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness.Add iniquity unto their iniquity, and let them not come into thy righteousness.Give punishment for their iniquity, And they enter not into Thy righteousness.
Psalms 69:28Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.Let them be blotted out of the book of life, and not be written with the righteous.They are blotted out of the book of life, And with the righteous are not written.
Psalms 69:29But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.But I am afflicted and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me secure on high.And I [am] afflicted and pained, Thy salvation, O God, doth set me on high.
Psalms 69:30I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving;I praise the name of God with a song, And I magnify Him with thanksgiving,
Psalms 69:31This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.And it shall please Jehovah more than an ox, a bullock with horns and cloven hoofs.And it is better to Jehovah than an ox, A bullock horned hoofed.
Psalms 69:32The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God. The meek shall see it, they shall be glad; ye that seek God, your heart shall live.The humble have seen they rejoice, Ye who seek God and your heart liveth.
Psalms 69:33For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.For Jehovah heareth the needy, and despiseth not his prisoners.For Jehovah hearkeneth unto the needy, And His bound ones He hath not despised.
Psalms 69:34Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and everything that moveth therein. Let heavens and earth praise him; the seas, and everything that moveth therein.The heavens and earth do praise Him, Seas, and every moving thing in them.
Psalms 69:35For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession. For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah; and they shall dwell there, and possess it:For God doth save Zion, And doth build the cities of Judah, And they have dwelt there, and possess it.
Psalms 69:36The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.And the seed of his servants shall inherit it, and they that love his name shall dwell therein.And the seed of His servants inherit it, And those loving His name dwell in it!
