Psalms 88:2Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry;Let my prayer come before thee; incline thine ear unto my cry.Let my prayer come before thee: incline thy ear to my cry;Let my prayer come before you; give ear to my cry:
Psalms 88:3For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave. For my soul is full of troubles, and my life draweth nigh to Sheol. For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh to the grave. For my soul is full of evils, and my life has come near to the underworld.
Psalms 88:4I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength:I am reckoned with them that go down into the pit; I am as a man that hath no strength:I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength:I am numbered among those who go down into the earth; I have become like a man for whom there is no help:
Psalms 88:5Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand.Prostrate among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave; whom thou rememberest no more, and who are cut off from thy hand.Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand.My soul is among the dead, like those in the underworld, to whom you give no more thought; for they are cut off from your care.
Psalms 88:6Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps.Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in dark places, in the deeps.Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps. You have put me in the lowest deep, even in dark places.
Psalms 88:7Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah.Thy fury lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted [me] with all thy waves. Psalms 88:9Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee.Mine eye consumeth by reason of affliction. Upon thee, Jehovah, have I called every day; I have stretched out my hands unto thee.My eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands to thee.My eyes are wasting away because of my trouble: Lord, my cry has gone up to you every day, my hands are stretched out to you.
Psalms 88:10Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah.Wilt thou do wonders to the dead? shall the shades arise and praise thee? Psalms 88:11Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in destruction?Shall thy loving-kindness be declared in the grave? thy faithfulness in Destruction?Shall thy loving-kindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in destruction? Will the story of your mercy be given in the house of the dead? will news of your faith come to the place of destruction?
Psalms 88:12Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness? Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?May there be knowledge of your wonders in the dark? or of your righteousness where memory is dead?
Psalms 88:13But unto thee have I cried, O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee. But as for me, Jehovah, I cry unto thee, and in the morning my prayer cometh before thee. But to thee have I cried, O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer come before thee. But to you did I send up my cry, O Lord; in the morning my prayer came before you.

Psalms 88:15I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.I am afflicted and expiring from my youth up; I suffer thy terrors, [and] I am distracted.I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.I have been troubled and in fear of death from the time when I was young; your wrath is hard on me, and I have no strength.
Psalms 88:16Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off.Thy fierce anger hath gone over me; thy terrors have brought me to nought:Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off.The heat of your wrath has gone over me; I am broken by your cruel punishments.
