Psalms 47:1O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.{To the chief Musician. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm.} All ye peoples, clap your hands; shout unto God with the voice of triumph!<To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of the sons of Korah.> O make a glad noise with your hands, all you peoples; letting your voices go up to God with joy.
Psalms 47:2For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.For Jehovah, the Most High, is terrible, a great king over all the earth.For the Lord Most High is to be feared; he is a great King over all the earth.
Psalms 47:3He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.He subdueth the peoples under us, and the nations under our feet.He will put down the peoples under us, and the nations under our feet.
Psalms 47:4He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.He hath chosen our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.He will give us our heritage, the glory of Jacob who is dear to him. (Selah.)
Psalms 47:5God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.God is gone up amid shouting, Jehovah amid the sound of the trumpet.God has gone up with a glad cry, the Lord with the sound of the horn.
Psalms 47:6Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.Sing psalms of God, sing psalms; sing psalms unto our King, sing psalms!Give praises to God, make songs of praise; give praises to our King, make songs of praise.
Psalms 47:7For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.For God is the King of all the earth; sing psalms with understanding.For God is the King of all the earth; make songs of praise with knowledge.
Psalms 47:8God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. God reigneth over the nations; God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.God is the ruler over the nations; God is on the high seat of his holy rule.
Psalms 47:9The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.The willing-hearted of the peoples have gathered together, [with] the people of the God of Abraham. For unto God [belong] the shields of the earth: he is greatly exalted.The rulers of the peoples have come together, with the people of the God of Abraham; because the powers of the earth are God's: he is lifted up on high.
