2nd-Corinthians 3:1Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or do we need, as some, commendatory letters to you, or [commendatory] from you?Are we beginning again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as do some, letters of commendation to you or from you?Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you.
2nd-Corinthians 3:2Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:*Ye* are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read of all men,You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men;Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men:
2nd-Corinthians 3:3Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.being manifested to be Christ's epistle ministered by us, written, not with ink, but [the] Spirit of [the] living God; not on stone tables, but on fleshy tables of [the] heart.being revealed that you are a letter of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tablets of stone, but in tablets that are hearts of flesh.Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not on tables of stone, but on fleshly tables of the heart.
2nd-Corinthians 3:4And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:And such confidence have we through the Christ towards God:Such confidence we have through Christ toward God;And such trust we have through Christ toward God.
2nd-Corinthians 3:5Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;not that we are competent of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves, but our competency [is] of God;not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God;Not that we are sufficient by ourselves to think any thing as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God;
2nd-Corinthians 3:6Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.who has also made us competent, [as] ministers of [the] new covenant; not of letter, but of spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit quickens.who also made us sufficient as servants of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit. For the letter kills, but the spirit gives life.Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
2nd-Corinthians 3:7But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:(But if the ministry of death, in letters, graven in stones, began with glory, so that the children of Israel could not fix their eyes on the face of Moses, on account of the glory of his face, [a glory] which is annulled;But if the service of death, written engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the children of Israel could not look steadfastly on the face of Moses for the glory of his face; which was passing away:But if the ministration of death, written and engraven on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away;
2nd-Corinthians 3:8How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?how shall not rather the ministry of the Spirit subsist in glory?won't rather service of the spirit be rather with more glory?How shall not the ministration of the Spirit be rather glorious?
2nd-Corinthians 3:9For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.For if the ministry of condemnation [be] glory, much rather the ministry of righteousness abounds in glory.For if the service of condemnation has glory, much rather does the service of righteousness exceed in glory.For if the ministration of condemnation was glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
2nd-Corinthians 3:10For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.For also that [which was] glorified is not glorified in this respect, on account of the surpassing glory.For most assuredly that which has been made glorious has not been made glorious in this respect, by reason of the glory that surpasses.For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
2nd-Corinthians 3:11For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.For if that annulled [was introduced] with glory, much rather that which abides [subsists] in glory.For if that which passes away was with glory, much more that which remains is in glory.For if that which was done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.
2nd-Corinthians 3:12Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:Having therefore such hope, we use much boldness:Having therefore such a hope, we use great boldness of speech,Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
2nd-Corinthians 3:13And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:and not according as Moses put a veil on his own face, so that the children of Israel should not fix their eyes on the end of that annulled.and not as Moses, who put a veil on his face, that the children of Israel wouldn't look steadfastly on the end of that which was passing away.And not as Moses, who put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
2nd-Corinthians 3:14But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.But their thoughts have been darkened, for unto this day the same veil remains in reading the old covenant, unremoved, which in Christ is annulled.But their minds were hardened, for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains, because in Christ in passes away.But their minds were blinded: for until this day the same vail remaineth untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
2nd-Corinthians 3:15But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.But unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil lies upon their heart.But to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart.But even to this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
2nd-Corinthians 3:16Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.But when it shall turn to [the] Lord, the veil is taken away.)But whenever one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.Nevertheless, when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
2nd-Corinthians 3:17Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.Now the Lord is the Spirit, but where the Spirit of [the] Lord [is, there is] liberty.Now the Lord is the Spirita and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
2nd-Corinthians 3:18But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.But *we* all, looking on the glory of the Lord, with unveiled face, are transformed according to the same image from glory to glory, even as by [the] Lord [the] Spirit.But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
