Psalms 72:1Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.{For Solomon.} O God, give the king thy judgments, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.By Solomon. O God, Thy judgments to the king give, And Thy righteousness to the king`s son.<Of Solomon.> Give the king your authority, O God, and your righteousness to the king's son.
Psalms 72:2He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.He will judge thy people with righteousness, and thine afflicted with judgment.He judgeth Thy people with righteousness, And Thy poor with judgment.May he be a judge of your people in righteousness, and make true decisions for the poor.
Psalms 72:3The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the hills, by righteousness.The mountains bear peace to the people, And the heights by righteousness.May the mountains give peace to the people, and the hills righteousness.
Psalms 72:4He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.He will do justice to the afflicted of the people; he will save the children of the needy, and will break in pieces the oppressor.He judgeth the poor of the people, Giveth deliverance to the sons of the needy, And bruiseth the oppressor.May he be a judge of the poor among the people, may he give salvation to the children of those who are in need; by him let the violent be crushed.
Psalms 72:5They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.They shall fear thee as long as sun and moon endure, from generation to generation.They fear Thee with the sun, and before the moon, Generation generations.May his life go on as long as the sun and moon, through all generations.
Psalms 72:6He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.He shall come down like rain on the mown grass, as showers that water the earth.He cometh down as rain on mown grass, As showers sprinkling the earth.May he come down like rain on the cut grass; like showers watering the earth.
Psalms 72:7In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.In his days shall the righteous flourish, and abundance of peace till the moon be no more.Flourish in his days doth the righteous, And abundance of peace till the moon is not.In his days may the upright do well, living in peace as long as there is a moon in heaven.
Psalms 72:8He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth. And he shall have dominion from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.And he ruleth from sea unto sea, And from the river unto the ends of earth.Let his kingdom be from sea to sea, from the River to the ends of the earth.
Psalms 72:9They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.The dwellers in the desert shall bow before him, and his enemies shall lick the dust.Before him bow do the inhabitants of the dry places, And his enemies lick the dust.Let those who are against him go down before him; and let his haters be low in the dust.
Psalms 72:10The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall render presents; the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer tribute:Kings of Tarshish and of the isles send back a present. Kings of Sheba and Seba a reward bring near.Let the kings of Tarshish and of the islands come back with offerings; let the kings of Sheba and Seba give of their stores.
Psalms 72:11Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him. Yea, all kings shall bow down before him; all nations shall serve him.And all kings do bow themselves to him, All nations do serve him,Yes, let all kings go down before him; let all nations be his servants.
Psalms 72:12For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.For he will deliver the needy who crieth, and the afflicted, who hath no helper;For he delivereth the needy who crieth, And the poor when he hath no helper,For he will be a saviour to the poor in answer to his cry; and to him who is in need, without a helper.
Psalms 72:13He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.He will have compassion on the poor and needy, and will save the souls of the needy:He hath pity on the poor and needy, And the souls of the needy he saveth,He will have pity on the poor, and be the saviour of those who are in need.
Psalms 72:14He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.He will redeem their souls from oppression and violence, and precious shall their blood be in his sight.From fraud and from violence he redeemeth their soul, And precious is their blood in his eyes.He will keep their souls free from evil designs and violent attacks; and their blood will be of value in his eyes.
Psalms 72:15And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.And he shall live; and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba; and prayer shall be made for him continually: all the day shall he be blessed.And he liveth, and giveth to him of the gold of Sheba, And prayeth for him continually, All the day he doth bless him.May he have long life, and may gold from Sheba be given to him: may prayers be made for him at all times; may blessings be on him every day.
Psalms 72:16There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.There shall be abundance of corn in the earth, upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon; and they of the city shall bloom like the herb of the earth.There is a handful of corn in the earth, On the top of mountains, Shake like Lebanon doth its fruit, And they flourish out of the city as the herb of the earth.May there be wide-stretching fields of grain in the land, shaking on the top of the mountains, full of fruit like Lebanon: may its stems be unnumbered like the grass of the earth.
Psalms 72:17His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.His name shall endure for ever; his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and [men] shall bless themselves in him; all nations shall call him blessed.His name is to the age, Before the sun is his name continued, And they bless themselves in him, All nations do pronounce him happy.May his name go on for ever, as long as the sun: may men be blessing themselves by him; may all nations be blessing his name.
Psalms 72:18Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.Blessed be Jehovah Elohim, the God of Israel, who alone doeth wondrous things!Blessed is Jehovah God, God of Israel, He alone is doing wonders,Praise be to the Lord God, the God of Israel, the only doer of wonders.
Psalms 72:19And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.And blessed be his glorious name for ever! and let the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen, and Amen.And blessed [is] the Name of His honour to the age, And the whole earth is filled [with] His honour. Amen, and amen!Praise to the glory of his noble name for ever; let all the earth be full of his glory. So be it, So be it.
