Proverbs 9:1Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:Wisdom hath built her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars;
Proverbs 9:2She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.she hath slaughtered her cattle, she hath mingled her wine, she hath also prepared her table;
Proverbs 9:3She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,she hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the summits of the high places of the city,
Proverbs 9:4Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither. To him that is void of understanding, she saith,
Proverbs 9:5Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.Come, eat ye of my bread, and drink of the wine that I have mingled.
Proverbs 9:6Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.Forsake follies and live, and go in the way of intelligence.
Proverbs 9:7He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.He that instructeth a scorner getteth to himself shame; and he that reproveth a wicked [man] [getteth] to himself a blot.
Proverbs 9:8Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee; reprove a wise [man], and he will love thee.
Proverbs 9:9Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.Impart to a wise [man], and he will become yet wiser; teach a righteous [man], and he will increase learning.
Proverbs 9:10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the Holy is intelligence.
Proverbs 9:11For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased. For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and years of life shall be added to thee.
Proverbs 9:12If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.If thou art wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself; and if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
Proverbs 9:13A foolish woman is clamourous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.The foolish woman is clamorous; she is stupid, and knoweth nothing.
Proverbs 9:14For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,And she sitteth at the entry of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,
Proverbs 9:15To call passengers who go right on their ways:to call passers-by who go right on their ways:
Proverbs 9:16Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither. And to him that is void of understanding she saith,
Proverbs 9:17Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.Stolen waters are sweet, and the bread of secrecy is pleasant.
Proverbs 9:18But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.But he knoweth not that the dead are there; [that] her guests are in the depths of Sheol.
