| Psalms 37:1 | Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. | A psalm for David, for a remembrance of the sabbath. | <Of David.> Do not be angry because of the wrongdoers, or have envy of the workers of evil. | Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, Neither be thou envious against them that work unrighteousness. |
| Psalms 37:2 | For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. | Rebuke me not, O Lord, in thy indignation; nor chastise me in thy wrath. | For they will quickly be cut down like grass, and become dry like the green plants. | For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. |
| Psalms 37:3 | Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. | For thy arrows are fastened in me : and thy hand hath been strong upon me. | Have faith in the Lord, and do good; be at rest in the land, and go after righteousness. | Trust in Jehovah, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on [his] faithfulness. |
| Psalms 37:4 | Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. | There is no health in my flesh, because of thy wrath : there is no peace for my bones, because of my sins. | So will your delight be in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desires. | Delight thyself also in Jehovah; And he will give thee the desires of thy heart. |
| Psalms 37:5 | Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. | For my iniquities are gone over my head : and as a heavy burden are become heavy upon me. | Put your life in the hands of the Lord; have faith in him and he will do it. | Commit thy way unto Jehovah; Trust also in him, and he will bring it to pass. |
| Psalms 37:6 | And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. | My sores are putrified and corrupted, because of my foolishness. | And he will make your righteousness be seen like the light, and your cause like the shining of the sun. | And he will make thy righteousness to go forth as the light, And thy justice as the noon-day. |
| Psalms 37:7 | Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. | I am become miserable, and am bowed down even to the end : I walked sorrowful all the day long. | Take your rest in the Lord, waiting quietly for him; do not be angry because of the man who does well in his evil ways, and gives effect to his bad designs. | Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him: Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, Because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. |
| Psalms 37:8 | Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. | For my loins are filled with illusions; and there is no health in my flesh. | Put an end to your wrath and be no longer bitter; do not give way to angry feeling which is a cause of sin. | Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: Fret not thyself, [it tendeth] only to evil-doing. |
| Psalms 37:9 | For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. | I am afflicted and humbled exceedingly : I roared with the groaning of my heart. | For the evil-doers will be cut off: but those who have faith in the Lord will have the earth for their heritage. | For evil-doers shall be cut off; But those that wait for Jehovah, they shall inherit the land. |
| Psalms 37:10 | For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. | Lord, all my desire is before thee, and my groaning is not hidden from thee. | For in a short time the evil-doer will be gone: you will go searching for his place, and it will not be there. | For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: Yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and he shall not be. |
| Psalms 37:11 | But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. | My heart is troubled, my strength hath left me, and the light of my eyes itself is not with me. | But the gentle will have the earth for their heritage; they will take their delight in peace without measure. | But the meek shall inherit the land, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. |
