Psalms 80:1Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.Unto the end, for the winepresses, a psalm for Asaph himself.<To the chief music-maker; put to Shoshannim-eduth. Of Asaph. A Psalm.> Give ear, O Keeper of Israel, guiding Joseph like a flock; you who have your seat on the winged ones, let your glory be seen.{To the chief Musician. On Shoshannim-Eduth. Of Asaph. A Psalm.} Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that sittest [between] the cherubim, shine forth.
Psalms 80:2Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us.Rejoice to God our helper: sing aloud to the God of Jacob.Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, let your strength be awake from sleep, and come as our salvation.Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up thy strength, and come to our deliverance.
Psalms 80:3Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel: the pleasant psaltery with the harp.Take us back again, O God; let us see the shining of your face, and let us be safe.O God, restore us; and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
Psalms 80:4O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?Blow up the trumpet on the new moon, on the noted day of your solemnity.O Lord God of armies, how long will your wrath be burning against the rest of your people?Jehovah, God of hosts, how long will thine anger smoke against the prayer of thy people?
Psalms 80:5Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.For it is a commandment in Israel, and a judgment to the God of Jacob.You have given them the bread of weeping for food; for their drink you have given them sorrow in great measure.Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure:
Psalms 80:6Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.He ordained it for a testimony in Joseph, when he came out of the land of Egypt: he heard a tongue which he knew not.You make us a cause of war among our neighbours; our haters are laughing at us among themselves.Thou hast made us a strife unto our neighbours, and our enemies mock among themselves.
Psalms 80:7Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.He removed his back from the burdens: his hands had served in baskets.Take us back again, O God of armies; let us see the shining of your face, and let us be safe.Restore us, O God of hosts; and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
Psalms 80:8Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.Thou calledst upon me in affliction, and I delivered thee: I heard thee in the secret place of tempest: I proved thee at the waters of contradiction.You took a vine out of Egypt: driving out the nations, and planting it in their land.Thou broughtest a vine out of Egypt; thou didst cast out the nations, and plant it:
Psalms 80:9Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.Hear, O my people, and I will testify to thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken to me,You made ready a place for it, so that it might take deep root, and it sent out its branches over all the land.Thou preparedst space before it, and it took deep root, and filled the land;
Psalms 80:10The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.there shall be no new god in thee: neither shalt thou adore a strange god.The mountains were covered with its shade, and the great trees with its branches.The mountains were covered with its shadow, and the branches thereof were [like] cedars of ùGod;
Psalms 80:11She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.For I am the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.It sent out its arms to the Sea, and its branches to the River.It sent out its boughs unto the sea, and its shoots unto the river.
Psalms 80:12Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?But my people heard not my voice: and Israel hearkened not to me.Why are its walls broken down by your hands, so that all who go by may take its fruit?Why hast thou broken down its fences, so that all who pass by the way do pluck it?
Psalms 80:13The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.So I let them go according to the desires of their heart: they shall walk in their own inventions.It is uprooted by the pigs from the woods, the beasts of the field get their food from it.The boar out of the forest doth waste it, and the beast of the field doth feed off it.
Psalms 80:14Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;If my people had heard me: if Israel had walked in my ways:Come back, O God of armies: from heaven let your eyes be turned to this vine, and give your mind to it,O God of hosts, return, we beseech thee; look down from the heavens, and behold, and visit this vine;
Psalms 80:15And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself. I should soon have humbled their enemies, and laid my hand on them that troubled them.Even to the tree which was planted by your right hand, and to the branch which you made strong for yourself.Even the stock which thy right hand hath planted, and the young plant thou madest strong for thyself.
Psalms 80:16It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.The enemies of the Lord have lied to him: and their time shall be for ever.It is burned with fire; it is cut down: they are made waste by the wrath of your face.It is burned with fire, it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
Psalms 80:17Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself. And he fed them with the fat of wheat, and filled them with honey out of the rock.Let your hand be on the man of your right hand, on the son of man whom you made strong for yourself.Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou hast made strong for thyself.
Psalms 80:18So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name. So will we not be turned back from you; keep us in life, and we will give praise to your name.So will we not go back from thee. Revive us, and we will call upon thy name.
Psalms 80:19Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.Take us back, O Lord God of armies; let us see the shining of your face, and let us be safe.Restore us, O Jehovah, God of hosts; cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
