| Psalms 5:1 | Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation. | Unto the end, for her that obtaineth the inheritance. A psalm of David. | <To the chief music-maker on wind instruments. A Psalm. Of David.> Give ear to my words, O Lord; give thought to my heart-searchings. | To the Overseer, `Concerning the Inheritances.` A Psalm of David. My sayings hear, O Jehovah, Consider my meditation. |
| Psalms 5:2 | Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray. | Give ear, O Lord, to my words, understand my cry. | Let the voice of my cry come to you, my King and my God; for to you will I make my prayer. | Be attentive to the voice of my cry, My king and my God, For unto Thee I pray habitually. |
| Psalms 5:3 | My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. | Hearken to the voice of my prayer, O my King and my God. | My voice will come to you in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I send my prayer to you, and keep watch. | Jehovah, [at] morning Thou hearest my voice, [At] morning I set in array for Thee, And I look out. |
| Psalms 5:4 | For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. | For to thee will I pray: O Lord, in the morning thou shalt hear my voice. | For you are not a God who takes pleasure in wrongdoing; there is no evil with you. | For not a God desiring wickedness [art] Thou, Evil inhabiteth Thee not. |
| Psalms 5:5 | The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. | In the morning I will stand before thee, and will see: because thou art not a God that willest iniquity. | The sons of pride have no place before you; you are a hater of all workers of evil. | The boastful station not themselves before Thine eyes: Thou hast hated all working iniquity. |
| Psalms 5:6 | Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man. | Neither shall the wicked dwell near thee: nor shall the unjust abide before thy eyes. | You will send destruction on those whose words are false; the cruel man and the man of deceit are hated by the Lord. | Thou destroyest those speaking lies, A man of blood and deceit Jehovah doth abominate. |
| Psalms 5:7 | But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple. | Thou hatest all the workers of iniquity: Thou wilt destroy all that speak a lie. The bloody and the deceitful man the Lord will abhor. | But as for me, I will come into your house, in the full measure of your mercy; and in your fear I will give worship, turning my eyes to your holy Temple. | And I, in the abundance of Thy kindness, I enter Thy house, I bow myself toward Thy holy temple in Thy fear. |
| Psalms 5:8 | Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face. | But as for me in the multitude of thy mercy, I will come into thy house; I will worship towards thy holy temple, in thy fear. | Be my guide, O Lord, in the ways of your righteousness, because of those who are against me; make your way straight before my face. | O Jehovah, lead me in Thy righteousness, Because of those observing me, Make straight before me Thy way, |
| Psalms 5:9 | For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue. | Conduct me, O Lord, in thy justice: because of my enemies, direct my way in thy sight. | For no faith may be put in their words; their inner part is nothing but evil; their throat is like an open place for the dead; smooth are the words of their tongues. | For there is no stability in their mouth. Their heart [is] mischiefs, An open grave [is] their throat, Their tongue they make smooth. |
| Psalms 5:10 | Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee. | for there is no truth in their mouth; their heart is vain. | Send them to destruction, O Lord; let their evil designs be the cause of their fall; let them be forced out by all their sins; because they have gone against your authority. | Declare them guilty, O God, Let them fall from their own counsels, In the abundance of their transgressions Drive them away, Because they have rebelled against Thee. |
| Psalms 5:11 | But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. | Their throat is an open sepulchre: they dealt deceitfully with their tongues: judge them, O God. Let them fall from their devices: according to the multitude of their wickedness cast them out: for they have provoked thee, O Lord. | But let all those who put their faith in you be glad with cries of joy at all times, and let all the lovers of your name be glad in you. | And rejoice do all trusting in Thee, To the age they sing, and Thou coverest them over, And those loving Thy name exult in Thee. |
| Psalms 5:12 | For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. | But let all them be glad that hope in thee: they shall rejoice for ever, and thou shalt dwell in them. And all they that love thy name shall glory in thee: | For you, Lord, will send a blessing on the upright man; your grace will be round him, and you will be his strength. | For Thou blessest the righteous, O Jehovah, As a buckler with favour dost compass him! |
