| Psalms 16:1 | Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. | The prayer of David. Hear, O Lord, my justice: attend to my supplication. Give ear unto my prayer, which proceedeth not from deceitful lips. | Preserve me, God, for in you do I take refuge. | A Secret Treasure of David. Preserve me, O God, for I did trust in Thee. |

| Psalms 16:3 | But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight. | Thou hast proved my heart, and visited it by night, thou hast tried me by fire: and iniquity hath not been found in me. | As for the saints who are in the earth, They are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight. | For the holy ones who [are] in the land, And the honourable, all my delight [is] in them. |
| Psalms 16:4 | Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips. | That my mouth may not speak the works of men: for the sake of the words of thy lips, I have kept hard ways. | Their sorrows shall be multiplied who give gifts to another god.
