| Proverbs 29:1 | He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. | The man that with a stiff neck despiseth him that reproveth him, shall suddenly be destroyed: and health shall not follow him. |
| Proverbs 29:2 | When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. | When just men increase, the people shall rejoice: when the wicked shall bear rule, the people shall mourn. |
| Proverbs 29:3 | Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance. | A man that loveth wisdom, rejoiceth his father: but he that maintaineth bar lots, shall squander away his substance. |
