Psalms 3:1LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.The psalm of David when he fled from the face of his son Absalom.
Psalms 3:2Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.Why, O Lord, are they multiplied that afflict me? many are they who rise up against me.
Psalms 3:3But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.Many say to my soul: There is no salvation for him in his God.
Psalms 3:4I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.But thou, O Lord art my protector, my glory, and the lifter up of my head.
Psalms 3:5I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me. I have cried to the Lord with my voice: and he hath heard me from his holy hill.
Psalms 3:6I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.I have slept and taken my rest: and I have risen up, because the Lord hath protected me.
Psalms 3:7Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly. I will not fear thousands of the people, surrounding me: arise, O Lord; save me, O my God.
Psalms 3:8Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah. For thou hast struck all them who are my adversaries without cause: thou hast broken the teeth of sinners.
