Psalms 62:3How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence. How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence. How long will you go on designing evil against a man? running against him as against a broken wall, which is on the point of falling?Till when do ye devise mischief against a man? Ye are destroyed all of you, As a wall inclined, a hedge that is cast down.
Psalms 62:4They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah. They only consult to cast him down from his excellence: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.Their only thought is to put him down from his place of honour; their delight is in deceit: blessing is in their mouths but cursing in their hearts. (Selah.)Only from his excellency They have consulted to drive away, They enjoy a lie, with their mouth they bless, And with their heart revile. Selah.
Psalms 62:5My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.My soul, put all your faith in God; for from him comes my hope.Only for God, be silent, O my soul, For from Him [is] my hope.
Psalms 62:6He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defense; I shall not be moved. He only is my Rock and my salvation; he is my high tower; I will not be greatly moved.Only He [is] my rock and my salvation, My tower, I am not moved.
Psalms 62:7In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.In God is my salvation, and my glory; the Rock of my strength, and my safe place. On God [is] my salvation, and my honour, The rock of my strength, my refuge [is] in God.
Psalms 62:8Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.Have faith in him at all times, you people; let your hearts go flowing out before him: God is our safe place. (Selah.)Trust in Him at all times, O people, Pour forth before Him your heart, God [is] a refuge for us. Selah.
Psalms 62:9Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.Truly men of low birth are nothing, and men of high position are not what they seem; if they are put in the scales together they are less than a breath.Only vanity [are] the low, a lie the high. In balances to go up they than vanity [are] lighter.
Psalms 62:10Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.Have no faith in the rewards of evil-doing, or in profits wrongly made: if your wealth is increased, do not put your hopes on it.Trust not in oppression, And in robbery become not vain, Wealth when it increaseth set not the heart.
Psalms 62:11God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth to God.Once has God said, twice has it come to my ears, that power is God's:Once hath God spoken, twice I heard this, That `strength [is] with God.`
Psalms 62:12Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work. Also to thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work. And mercy, O Lord, is yours, for you give to every man the reward of his work. And with Thee, O Lord, [is] kindness, For Thou dost recompense to each, According to his work!
