Psalms 26:1Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.A Psalm of David. Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in my integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.The psalm of David before he was anointed. The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?<Of David.> O Lord, be my judge, for my behaviour has been upright: I have put my faith in the Lord, I am not in danger of slipping.
Psalms 26:2Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.Whilst the wicked draw near against me, to eat my flesh. My enemies that trouble me, have themselves been weakened, and have fallen.Put me in the scales, O Lord, so that I may be tested; let the fire make clean my thoughts and my heart.
Psalms 26:3For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.For thy loving-kindness is before my eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.If armies in camp should stand together against me, my heart shall not fear. If a battle should rise up against me, in this will I be confident.For your mercy is before my eyes; and I have gone in the way of your good faith.
Psalms 26:4I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.One thing I have asked of the Lord, this will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. That I may see the delight of the Lord, and may visit his temple.I have not taken my seat with foolish persons, and I do not go with false men.
Psalms 26:5I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.For he hath hidden me in his tabernacle; in the day of evils, he hath protected me in the secret place of his tabernacle.I have been a hater of the band of wrongdoers, and I will not be seated among sinners.
Psalms 26:6I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD:I will wash my hands in innocence: so will I compass thy altar, O LORD:He hath exalted me upon a rock: and now he hath lifted up my head above my enemies. I have gone round, and have offered up in his tabernacle a sacrifice of jubilation: I will sing, and recite a psalm to the Lord.I will make my hands clean from sin; so will I go round your altar, O Lord;
Psalms 26:7That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.Hear, O Lord, my voice, with which I have cried to thee: have mercy on me and hear me.That I may give out the voice of praise, and make public all the wonders which you have done.
Psalms 26:8LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thy honor dwelleth.My heart hath said to thee: My face hath sought thee: thy face, O Lord, will I still seek.Lord, your house has been dear to me, and the resting-place of your glory.
Psalms 26:9Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:Turn not away thy face from me; decline not in thy wrath from thy servant. Be thou my helper, forsake me not; do not thou despise me, O God my Saviour.Let not my soul be numbered among sinners, or my life among men of blood;
Psalms 26:10In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.For my father and my mother have left me: but the Lord hath taken me up.In whose hands are evil designs, and whose right hands take money for judging falsely.
Psalms 26:11But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.But as for me, I will walk in my integrity: redeem me, and be merciful to me.Set me, O Lord, a law in thy way, and guide me in the right path, because of my enemies.But as for me, I will go on in my upright ways: be my saviour, and have mercy on me.
Psalms 26:12My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.Deliver me not over to the will of them that trouble me; for unjust witnesses have risen up against me; and iniquity hath lied to itself.I have a safe resting-place for my feet; I will give praise to the Lord in the meetings of the people.
