| Psalms 12:2 | They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. | | Everyone says false words to his neighbour: their tongues are smooth in their talk, and their hearts are full of deceit. | Vanity they speak each with his neighbour, Lip of flattery! With heart and heart they speak. |
| Psalms 12:3 | The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: | | The smooth lips and the tongue of pride will be cut off by the Lord. | Jehovah doth cut off all lips of flattery, A tongue speaking great things, |
