Psalms 80:3Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.Turn us again, God. Psalms 80:4O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?Yahweh God of hosts, How long will you be angry against the prayer of your people?O Lord God of armies, how long will your wrath be burning against the rest of your people?Blow up the trumpet on the new moon, on the noted day of your solemnity.
Psalms 80:5Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure. You have fed them with the bread of tears, And given them tears to drink in large measure. You have given them the bread of weeping for food; for their drink you have given them sorrow in great measure. For it is a commandment in Israel, and a judgment to the God of Jacob.
Psalms 80:6Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves. You make us a source of contention to our neighbors. Our enemies laugh among themselves. You make us a cause of war among our neighbours; our haters are laughing at us among themselves. He ordained it for a testimony in Joseph, when he came out of the land of Egypt: he heard a tongue which he knew not.

Psalms 80:9Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land. You cleared the ground for it. It took deep root, and filled the land. You made ready a place for it, so that it might take deep root, and it sent out its branches over all the land.Hear, O my people, and I will testify to thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken to me,
Psalms 80:10The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars. The mountains were covered with its shadow. Psalms 80:11She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river. It sent out its branches to the sea, Its shoots to the River. It sent out its arms to the Sea, and its branches to the River. For I am the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
Psalms 80:12Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?Why have you broken down its walls, So that all those who pass by the way pluck it?Why are its walls broken down by your hands, so that all who go by may take its fruit? But my people heard not my voice: and Israel hearkened not to me.
