Psalms 11:1In the LORD put I my trust: How say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?In Yahweh do I take refuge. How can you say to my soul, "Flee as a bird to your mountain!"Unto the end; for the octave, a psalm for David.In Jehovah do I take refuge: How say ye to my soul, Flee [as] a bird to your mountain;
Psalms 11:2For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.For, behold, the wicked bend their bows. They set their arrows on the strings, That they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.Save me, O Lord, for there is now no saint: truths are decayed from among the children of men.For, lo, the wicked bend the bow, They make ready their arrow upon the string, That they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart;
Psalms 11:3If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?They have spoken vain things every one to his neighbour: with deceitful lips, and with a double heart have they spoken.If the foundations be destroyed, What can the righteous do?
Psalms 11:4The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.Yahweh is in his holy temple. Yahweh is on his throne in heaven. His eyes observe. His eyes examine the children of men.May the Lord destroy all deceitful lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things.Jehovah is in his holy temple; Jehovah, his throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
Psalms 11:5The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.Yahweh examines the righteous, But the wicked and him who loves violence his soul hates.Who have said: We will magnify our tongue; our lips are our own; who is Lord over us?Jehovah trieth the righteous; But the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
Psalms 11:6Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; Fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.By reason of the misery of the needy, and the groans of the poor, now will I arise, saith the Lord. I win set him in safety; I will deal confidently in his regard.Upon the wicked he will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind shall be the portion of their cup.
Psalms 11:7For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.For Yahweh is righteous. He loves righteousness. The upright shall see his face. Psalm 12 For the Chief Musician; upon an eight-stringed lyre. A Psalm of David.The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried by the fire, purged from the earth refined seven times.For Jehovah is righteous; he loveth righteousness: The upright shall behold his face. Psalm 12 For the Chief Musician; set to the Sheminith. A Psalm of David.
