Psalms 71:1In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.In you, Yahweh, I take refuge. Never let me be put to shame.A psalm on Solomon.In thee, O Jehovah, do I take refuge: Let me never be put to shame.
Psalms 71:2Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.Deliver me in your righteousness, and rescue me. Turn your ear to me, and save me.Give to the king thy judgment, O God: and to the king's son thy justice: To judge thy people with justice, and thy poor with judgment.Deliver me in thy righteousness, and rescue me: Bow down thine ear unto me, and save me.
Psalms 71:3Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.Be to me a rock of refuge to which I may always go. Give the command to save me, For you are my rock and my fortress.Let the mountains receive peace for the people: and the hills justice.Be thou to me a rock of habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: Thou hast given commandment to save me; For thou art my rock and my fortress.
Psalms 71:4Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.Rescue me, my God, from the hand of the wicked, From the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.He shall judge the poor of the people, and he shall save the children of the poor: and he shall humble the oppressor.Rescue me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
Psalms 71:5For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.For you are my hope, Lord Yahweh; My confidence from my youth.And he shall continue with the sun, and before the moon, throughout all generations.For thou art my hope, O Lord Jehovah: [Thou art] my trust from my youth.
Psalms 71:6By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.I have relied on you from the womb. You are he who took me out of my mother's womb. I will always praise you.He shall come down like rain upon the fleece; and as showers falling gently upon the earth.By thee have I been holden up from the womb; Thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: My praise shall be continually of thee.
Psalms 71:7I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.I am a marvel to many, But you are my strong refuge.In his days shall justice spring up, and abundance of peace, till the moon be taken sway.I am as a wonder unto many; But thou art my strong refuge.
Psalms 71:8Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.My mouth shall be filled with your praise, With your honor all the day.And he shall rule from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.My mouth shall be filled with thy praise, And with thy honor all the day.
Psalms 71:9Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.Don't reject me in my old age. Don't forsake me when my strength fails.Before him the Ethiopians shall fall down: and his enemies shall lick the ground.Cast me not off in the time of old age; Forsake me not when my strength faileth.
Psalms 71:10For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together, For my enemies talk about me. Those who watch for my soul conspire together,The kings of Tharsis and the islands shall offer presents: the kings of the Arabians and of Saba shall bring gifts:For mine enemies speak concerning me; And they that watch for my soul take counsel together,
Psalms 71:11Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him.Saying, "God has forsaken him. Pursue and take him, for no one will rescue him."And all kings of the earth shall adore him: all nations shall serve him.Saying, God hath forsaken him: Pursue and take him; for there is none to deliver.
Psalms 71:12O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help. God, don't be far from me. My God, hurry to help me.For he shall deliver the poor from the mighty: and the needy that had no helper.O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me.
Psalms 71:13Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt. Let my accusers be put to shame and consumed. Let them be covered with disgrace and scorn who want to harm me.He shall spare the poor and needy: and he shall save the souls of the poor.Let them be put to shame [and] consumed that are adversaries to my soul; Let them be covered with reproach and dishonor that seek my hurt.
Psalms 71:14But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.But I will always hope, And will add to all of your praise.He shall redeem their souls from usuries and iniquity: and their names shall be honourable in his sight.But I will hope continually, And will praise thee yet more and more.
Psalms 71:15My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.My mouth will tell about your righteousness, And of your salvation all day, Though I don't know its full measure.And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Arabia, for him they shall always adore: they shall bless him all the day.My mouth shall tell of thy righteousness, [And] of thy salvation all the day; For I know not the numbers [thereof].
Psalms 71:16I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.I will come with the mighty acts of the Lord Yahweh. I will make mention of your righteousness, even of yours alone.And there shall be a firmament on the earth on the tops of mountains, above Libanus shall the fruit thereof be exalted : and they of the city shall flourish like the grass of the earth.I will come with the mighty acts of the Lord Jehovah: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.
Psalms 71:17O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.God, you have taught me from my youth. Until now, I have declared your wondrous works.Let his name be blessed for evermore : his name continueth before the sun. And in him shall all the tribes of the earth be blessed: all nations shall magnify him.O God, thou hast taught me from my youth; And hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.
Psalms 71:18Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.Yes, even when I am old and gray-headed, God, don't forsake me, Until I have declared your strength to the next generation, Your might to everyone who is to come.Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who alone doth wonderful things.Yea, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not, Until I have declared thy strength unto [the next] generation, Thy might to every one that is to come.
Psalms 71:19Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!Your righteousness also, God, reaches to the heavens; You who have done great things. God, who is like you?And blessed be the name of his majesty for ever: and the whole earth shall be filled with his majesty. So be it. So be it.Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high; Thou who hast done great things, O God, who is like unto thee?
Psalms 71:20Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.You, who have showed us many and bitter troubles, You will let me live. You will bring us up again from the depths of the earth.The praises of David, the son of Jesse, are ended.Thou, who hast showed us many and sore troubles, Wilt quicken us again, And wilt bring us up again from the depths of the earth.
Psalms 71:21Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.Increase my honor, And comfort me again.Increase thou my greatness, And turn again and comfort me.
Psalms 71:22I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.I will also praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, my God. I sing praises to you with the lyre, Holy One of Israel.I will also praise thee with the psaltery, [Even] thy truth, O my God: Unto thee will I sing praises with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.
Psalms 71:23My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.My lips shall shout for joy! My soul, which you have redeemed, sings praises to you!My lips shall shout for joy when I sing praises unto thee; And my soul, which thou hast redeemed.
