Psalms 21:1The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!The king rejoices in your strength, Yahweh! How greatly he rejoices in your salvation!<To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David.> The king will be glad in your strength, O Lord; how great will be his delight in your salvation!
Psalms 21:2Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.You have given him his heart's desire, And have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.You have given him his heart's desire, and have not kept back the request of his lips. (Selah.)
Psalms 21:3For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.For you meet him with the blessings of goodness; You set a crown of fine gold on his head.For you go before him with the blessings of good things: you put a crown of fair gold on his head.
Psalms 21:4He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.He asked life of you, you gave it to him, Even length of days forever and ever.He made request to you for life, and you gave it to him, long life for ever and ever.
Psalms 21:5His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.His glory is great in your salvation. You lay honor and majesty on him.His glory is great in your salvation: honour and authority have you put on him.
Psalms 21:6For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.For you make him most blessed forever. You make him glad with joy in your presence.For you have made him a blessing for ever: you have given him joy in the light of your face.
Psalms 21:7For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.For the king trusts in Yahweh. Through the lovingkindness of the Most High, he shall not be moved.For the king has faith in the Lord, and through the mercy of the Most High he will not be moved.
Psalms 21:8Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.Your hand will find out all of your enemies. Your right hand will find out those who hate you.Your hand will make a search for all your haters; your right hand will be hard on all those who are against you.
Psalms 21:9Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger. Yahweh will swallow them up in his wrath. The fire shall devour them.You will make them like a flaming oven before you; the Lord in his wrath will put an end to them, and they will be burned up in the fire.
Psalms 21:10Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.You will destroy their descendants from the earth, Their posterity from among the children of men.Their fruit will be cut off from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
Psalms 21:11For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.For they intended evil against you. They plotted evil against you which cannot succeed.For their thoughts were bitter against you: they had an evil design in their minds, which they were not able to put into effect.
Psalms 21:12Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.For you will make them turn their back, When you aim drawn bows at their face.Their backs will be turned when you make ready the cords of your bow against their faces.
Psalms 21:13Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.Be exalted, Yahweh, in your strength, So we will sing and praise your power. Psalm 22 For the Chief Musician; set to "The Doe of the Morning." A Psalm by David.Be lifted up, O Lord, in your strength; so will we make songs in praise of your power.
